Bogomolov is putrid on clay, Clement should win this. Even though he is old, he is also a fighter if not injured.
Report mattyj3nks86 May 28, 2012 2:52 PM BST
i backed bogo pre match so hoping he gets through this
Report Footiefan111 May 28, 2012 3:48 PM BST
is it worth backing clement
Report Footiefan111 May 28, 2012 3:50 PM BST

Report mattyj3nks86 May 28, 2012 3:50 PM BST

Report Vasek May 28, 2012 4:10 PM BST
Arnaud Clement. What a player. What an entertainer. Always playing 5 sets. Always thinking of entertaining the crowd. Cool Seriously, how many five-setters has this guy played in his career?

So Bogo can't serve and clement is French oh dear all round
Report Sekt10ned May 28, 2012 5:27 PM BST
pathetic on both sides but if bogo's shoulder is troubling him so much he can't hit probably that might out trump clements lack of movement. It's a bit like those bear vs shark type of arguments
Report hotch1234 May 28, 2012 5:29 PM BST

ITV said 6-4 as well but it was a retirement, couldn't even serve
Report caramba May 28, 2012 5:48 PM BST
I had mixed set betting with match odds market. set betting will be void, match market loss. stupid umpire, he should given bog a point penalty for 2nd time violation and there would be no retirement.
Report caramba May 28, 2012 5:49 PM BST
dlarssonf, it's ok, maybe I can laugh about it too one day.
Report nofx May 28, 2012 5:50 PM BST
fcked up caramba, sorry about that
should be a rule you can't retire at mp in a fifth set and point just be rewarded to the other player
insane
Report Bergkamp93 May 28, 2012 5:50 PM BST
Oh I see ....I was actually thinking that myself as to why the Umpire did not give the Violation, is he stupid or somethingCrazy

Only thing I can think why the Umpire did not give the Violation is because it was such a tense and tight ending to the game and it would be a bad way to finish, but surely rules are rules Sad

Apparently the umpire read the final set score in the Clement-Bogomolov match as 6-4.

@newballsplease @shanktennis I stand corrected.

weird how it said 6-4 ret. though at first

you're right nofx
Report caramba May 28, 2012 6:16 PM BST
I'm very confused here about my result. final loss 3400 euro (not €3k, not €5k), would have been a 370 euro win if the match had been completed. freak loss really, not much you can do. will be more careful with bogo in the future.
Report nofx May 28, 2012 6:24 PM BST
wish i wasn't, no point to seeth twice though

don't think this was dodgy, he's just not fit enough. i mean what can be gained from voided bookies bets as opposed to him losing?
no one can have counted on him to win and it went terribly wrong and he had to resort to this. can it?
or am i being terrribly naive?
Report caramba May 28, 2012 6:26 PM BST
no, there was nothing dodgy about it.
Report sammybizzle May 28, 2012 6:58 PM BST
Well the fact that bogo who imo is a very dodgy player with some very suspicious results if you follow him..Add on to that he has done this before and just has the air of a fixer about him..

I know that might be stupid to some of you but he just gives of that impression, It is no coincidence imo that Bogo the new davy retired at mp down.
Report Jason Bourne May 28, 2012 7:02 PM BST
Bogomolov is a scumbag of the lowest order, people who bet on him know that before they put their money on so are obviously doing so at their own risk.
Report doro May 28, 2012 7:39 PM BST
can someone confirm that betfair voided set betting pls! on the Fr Open and ATP site it shows Bogo retired.
Thanks.
Report owning May 29, 2012 6:19 AM BST
I am surprised that people are still involved in Boogie's matches in one way or another. This guy is worse than davytanko or anyone IMHO. Just look back at the number of matches whereby he takes the first set and then went on to lose the match, its just unreal. Stats wise, he might be the worst final set ATP player ever, in the top 100/200. I will not be surprised if he's controlled by a syndicate or something along that line. Came with a bang, having some great wins and performances (presumably to get punters on his side). And then a string of very dodgy losses, especially in mickey mouse events. Wouldn't bet on him with stolen money. That said, i think its a pretty good strategy to lay him when he's ahead in a match, based on recent performances.
Report owning May 29, 2012 6:23 AM BST
And also, if you are truly in poor form and keeps losing matches, it ok (like Mr. Golubev), but to consistently lose from a winning position just shouts out DODGY
