Is the price correct on Berdych at 4.1 - 4.2 with all the events off the courts?

Berdych does'nt have a very good record against Djokovic, but Berdych has been fairly competetive in most of their recent matches.
Berdych retired in three matches last year, once against Tipsarevic and twice against Djokovic. He had a shoulder injury around the US Open, but it is strangely coincidental that all three retirements were against Serbs. The surface suits Djokovic better and the market obviously sees Djokovic using his grandfather's passing as a motivation to win the tournament. |

In my opinion.. Berdych can win this match. If he want to. Djokvic is not playing good his last matches.

Yesterday Djoko was broken 4 times in 2 setter... Berdych only once in 3 setter with Murray. Haase was playing like my grandmother, and he still made some trouble to Djoko. For me Lay Djoko.

We all know that Berdych has a lot of talent.
He is playing well in Monte Carlo. Nothing wrong with his game. Can he keep it together again against a rather average Djokovic and produce to his abilities? I hope so, but I am not totally sure. I guess he disappointed so many people in the past. Better to watch the first set before investing |

Djoko doesn´t look very solid at the moment.
Lost a set to Dolgopolov(and it could have even been a closer match if Dog didn´t botle it @ 4*-4 30-0) Was broken FOUR times against Haase(as andrewww already mentioned). The dutchmen played a horrible match and won only 38% of his serving points yet he was close to winning a set. On the other side, Berdych is on a 5-0 claycourt run and winning routinely 80% of his 1st serve points. I am on 4.1 on Berdych |

Thanks for your views. In the end I'm glad I didn't take a pre-match trade on Berdych at 4.1 but still think I might have something on him because his serve has been good and he's been aggressive enough which he needs for his game and with his personal grudge against Djokovic I expect him to be extra motivated. Another thing is he's 1-8 in H2H but that alone doesn't win matches for you.

I think an average Nole is just too much for an average Berdych.... so my mind says Novak will win.... but I'm one of the dumb who support Tomas so I'll be happy if Berdych wins... But I'll be happy even if Nole wins the tournament for his grandpa... I'm emotionally too involved to bet in this game.... Good Luck everybody....

Berdych for me based on this week's play. He has troubled Djokovic in recent meetings, so there is a good chance you can green out in-play if you want to. There's also a slight possibility of a tank, he might not want to face Rafa when he (Nole) is not as his very best (focus not there because of his emotional state).

Djoko shouldn't even be in MCarlo, his parents are at home mourning and so are his brothers, by now the body should be released so family could spend last hours with the deceased. It's wrong from Djoko not be there. Even if he wants to win to commemorate his grands dead, when sth starts going wrong Djoko would think 'that's because I shouldn't even be here'. This is an amazing factor. Djoko to win MCarlo @2.8 or so is an amazing lay. I layed him when the news broke and then layed him further up to 13% of my bank. Cannot be missed

Berdych will not send him home but Nadal just too strong on clay.Nobody has a close chance to beat Nadal on slow clay when Nadal is fit.Djoko outright is a huge lay.

That's why I layed him outright, I hope Berdych wins, but if not Nadal himself is a great danger plus the circumstances surrounding the match. By my reckoning the funeral should be three days after the departure. It's going to be hell for djoko...
