Rules for the competition:

- Each day you have up to 100 points to spend on a MAXIMUM of 5 selections
- Bets must be placed as whole numbers (No stake on selections = void)
- Bets must be placed before the match starts
- Bets on the final match of the tournament must be placed before deadline given
- To qualify for ranking points you must bet at least 800 points during the 2 weeks
- You cannot carry over points to use the following day
- All bets stand if at least one point is played in the match
- If you want to replace a selection, please do so by stating that the new selection is a replacement - any duplicate selections without explanation will mean all selections are voided for that day.
- Should a match in which you have placed a bet on not be played, bets will be void and you may place a bet on a match that has not yet started. If you are not here to make another bet you will still get the credit for betting those points(although you will make no profit or loss) for the sake of reaching your 800 pt target to qualify for ranking points
- All decisions are final

Congratulations to Basketball Funds for winning the US Open! Had a pretty good year in 2010, holding the #1 position in the overall rankings for several months and winning the Rotterdam and Hamburg 500 events. Best result this year was a 2nd place in Dubai, however. But I'm sure this Grand Slam title makes up for that. Grin

The runner-up in New York is Minny. A solid improvement from the previous best result, a 3rd finish in the Estoril 250 event. Also, the 1200 ranking points that comes with this 2nd place at the US Open more than doubles the ranking points Minny has earned this year. Nicely done!

3rd place goes to darren_discombobulates_sports who keeps performing well in the Slams, after already recording a 4th place at Wimbledon this year. These results add nicely to his tournament victory this year in Bastad. Congratulations on yet another impressive result.

Dementieva ends the US Open in 4th place, mostly thanks to Ivo Karlovic' surprise victory over Richard Gasquet. With the only other result this year being a 34th place at the Australian open, this 4th place comes as a massive improvement!

Thank you very much Novak for running this competition under adverse conditions. I know it's not easy! Thanks for the congrats and kind words too. I was a runner up at the French & Wimbeldon back at 2009 but have never won a GS until now. It is great :)

LaughI just couldn't bring myself to bet against you in the end, my instinct took over, you're too good theses days! Nadal's price was what tempted me, but my betting brain took overGrin

If I hadn't of gone against you in the Semi, I'd have finished, second, but after finishing 4th in Wimbledon, 3rd here at the US Open - it looks like at this rate I'm due to win the French Open 2012Laugh[;)]

Also, thanks for running these Comps Novak, it must take alot of time and effort - really appreciated by everyone I'm sure - hope you carry on with it for a long while, the rain was a drain for all but probably more so for you, well done for persisting, cheers, Darren.
