and while rafas been good he has to accept things dont always go your way, i remember rafter in the semis a few years back go so well only to get cramp and fade away , sad but true.

Was just curious, he's a very open forumite, certainly wasn't for my amusement, just wanted to see his initial bet and what damage limitation he took, interested tis all. Hope it's not too much of a portion bud.

Surely there's still time for some enterprising referee to come out with a big pot of blue paint, cover the white lines and have total discretion of whether the ball is in or out, to help Nadal.

Some big boys must have lost real heavy on this and some must have picked up squilions
I just regret having a big position the wrong way before it started!!!

And what if you backed Rafa?

I thought Rafa was a big old price so my book was geared to him mid 2nd set, and seemed the ideal hedge as his exit was literally perfect for my OR book anyway.

RMB - you say you took no loss on the match but if you backed Rafa mid-second set, how can you have not made a loss. I wasn't following the odds that closely as was also watching the cricket but surely his odds only got longer as the match went on.
close sean. layed fer 1.2x 1st set, layed rafa circa 1.7 tail end 1st set, switched everything on to rafa 3.0 mid 2nd set so was v v nice green on rafa, felt like the right play to me, seemed ferrer was just out playing him but was a bad call unfortunately!

CSL said he was betting large on Nadal tonight. He said he was going to bed, safe in the knowledge Nadal would win, and waking up to see his profits.
I wish I could see his face when he sees the result.
As mastercard would say; priceless.

If Nadal had of won after having thousands on him at the start, I would have lost thousands by getting on Ferrer.
So for me I had my tail between my legs all match[:(]

rmb in fairness ( or titan, angela, terry jenkins and the other 6 usernames ) you are a fantasist yourself!!! I still laugh at how you backed seppi and kiefer at below 1.3 in Hamburg a few years ago and still claimed you were all green

Seanyp I had thousands on the Nadal/Ljubicic match last year. Come back from work , fell asleep. Nadal went to 1.01 or 1.02 apparently and lost. Boy was I pissed.
I never let something idle , particularly after Serbia in the Hopman Cup

yeah it's not a good idea. i guess everyone has their good moments and then their truly awful moments they look back on with huge regret.
it's a ****ing harsh learning curve on here.
funnily enough i had to leave Djokovic yesterday with a decent amount riding on both 3-0 set betting and on match odds. only found out I won a few hours later I'd won. huge relief.

To be honest I need to pull my head in more and respect the odds more than I do
I only get away with it because I trade other things successfully to fund it

You aren't a trader, you are a punter. Hope this helps.
