So, after Tips wins 1st set, Zebs odds shoot up, tons of money goes on Zeb despite he's losing, and somehow, a miracle happens and Zeb wins next 2 sets. I DON'T THINK SO.

If that happened there would be no problem. Its a cert fix because zeb lost the first set and then his odds shortened. What you described is the norm

I think it is screaming fix when the drift is like it was pre match, unless it is due to an injury which this wasn't. I have sure learnt a lesson along with some others i suspect

BETFAIR SHOULD VOID - not being funny, but other site suspended bets during 2nd set - Betfair should take a hint that is not normal - no matter what really happened it was HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS and for that reason cover their back sides and void all bets.

GUYS - just so I understand this, the fact that Tips odds went UP to 2.0 when the match started, means that a ton of money went on Zeb at the start? Pushing Tips odds up? Is that right???

SuperTed you mofo, I know you were talking morally. I am just sickened by these suspiscious matches and losing my temper. Something needs to be done and betfair aren't the ones who will do anything [:(]

Kingswood, I thought the same thing but watching the amounts and ratio of lays to backs (on tips side / bearing in mind the cross-match), it was always going to go to evens with the 1.40/1.50 prior to the match being some people that were greening out (lay 1.25 /back 1.50 would either zero out or balance the books). The amount of money laying at evens when the score contradicted was not 100's but 1000's.

Since start of the match, there were posts about fixed result. However, there was still lots of liquidity in the market. So, who believes, that winner was made before - ride this bull and bet on winner. It´s easy as never

can anyone help me out here? Anyone remember a match where the price on 2-0 came in very short before the start of the match. The market then panicked as the player who was supposed to lose went 5-0 up in the first set only to lose 7-5 6-1.
I can't remember who played this match, but I think it was early 2009.

Mr J S N,
If he was playing injured then he would have retired or not taken the court at all.
An athlete would be better to not play if he were injured.
One would be in a strong position to argue that Mr. Tipsarevic was motivated to play by something other than injury, since injury, for a professional sportsman is a risk to his career.
To suggest that genuine injury is a reason for this sort of activity, you and I both know is insane.
Regards...

I don't think it hit 2 Million (1 million wagered/traded).
Once it hit 1.6 Million and Zeb settled in at 1.25 +/- for a while, the volume completely diminished. Those who had made their money had gotten out long before the end of the match.
