heavy rain showers forecast on sunday. just what sod wants.

Sod said he wanted to play nadal..He joked but he was being serious...So I wonder...a 4 setter..5 setter..those are the outcomes for me

How come Nadal has shortened up??
I was actually impressed by Soders . I thought the birdman was going to take him out but Soders showed a lot of maturity and composure! 1.25 odd too short for me!! |
By:
Probably because Soderling was out there for 5 sets and it looks like Nadal will be out there for 3. But i agree. I think 1.25 is too short and have bet accordingly.
|

Talk about finding your feet at the right time. In irrepressable form at present.
|
By:
Duno bout irrepressble..This is melzer,, another leftie you know...It has been good..not great
|
By:
All on Sod's racket, in his hands. I believe in him.
|
By:
Melzer is going okay but he is cannon fodder for Nadal if he is on.
The thing I don't like is Nadal is skeing the odd short here and there. This might be because he is trying to be more agressive. Soders power is a different kettle of fish and he appears resolute in his focus to take it. The thing that worries me for Nadal supporters against Soders is Soders can guage his play. He has a good idea how to measure it against Nadal and he has the belief and not fear when letting go. For Nadal , who relies on a little phsycology, this is very dangerous. I am tipping Nadal but Soders could easily win. |
By:
I tell you why this is stupid this 1.22 about Nadal.
If nadal is that much a certainty you would avoid the market and play the exotics at the margin for less risk to the downside Some people have no respect for money. |
By:
Comms just said that the weather on Sunday is going to suit Soderling a lot more too, and that if it does rain or if it is overcast then Soderling can hit winners. Through the opponent. Im going full in, this 1.23 is just stupid.
|
By:
I saw the little mug come out in Nadal in the back end of the third set . Ha Ha
Rafa is human!! |
By:
If it's cool and damp Sod has a chance but if it's like today then Nadal's superior stamina and ability to concentrate will be too much for Sod. He really strugged today against Berdych and looked like a beetroot by the end.
|
By:
Actually , if it is conditions like Sod v Fed Sod will win.
The question is how the weather will be and how will rafa go being pushed around on the baseline and playing against a guy that can go all out and be mentally cool about it. Even Rafa has a breaking point. I saw those double faults. We all do it because we all are human and Rafa isn't any different. Rafa has a challenge and he knows it . If Rafa wins the first set he probably realises Soders will just hit bombs and we will see what happens a bit like Melzer. Let the games begin!! This is going to be fun!! |
By:
Conditions count for alot.
Nads will be in for a world of hurt on Sunday. Soderling eats his topspin for breakfast. I can already see Nadal struggling to get pace on his serves, as Sod hits the off-backhand return to make Nads scramble like a headless chicken, before cleaning up the short ball with an off-forehand to end the point. |
By:
Bla Bla Bla Soderling massive value Bla Bla Bla Soderling can hit winners Bla Bla Bla Soderling will eat Nadal topspin Bla Bla Bla the weather will suit Soderling
THIS IS A GS FINAL AND ITS NADAL. FORGET WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR because this year its different. NADAL IN BEST OF 5 IN A GS FINAL. Short? Maybe, but Nadal is going to win RG. No doubt about it and cant understand most of you have doubts about the winner. |
By:
Bla Bla Bla - Nadal went in better form without a doubt in 2009 and lost to Soderling....
Not necessary to bet at a GS final!!! But if I had to place a bet here at these odds, the pick could only be Soderling! Nadal 1,26 in the final is only a joke! |
By:
Nadal will be nervous too zamo, first slam final since Jan 09, not won one since then either, broken to love when he was merely serving to make the final. He's not some superhuman who doesn't suffer nerves, and Soderking is one of the handful of players who aren't affected by Nadull's gamesmanship either.
|
By:
1.25 on Nadal is the biggest joke this year=fact imo
|
By:
These odds on Soderling are just too tempting. Should get a decent trade out opportunity at the very least. I sense his time has come though, deserves to win a slam for his form over the past year.
|
By:
too tempting? I backed him here v Nadal at 47/1 in the 4th round last year..when he was 3-1 in the 1st set,a bit disappointed with 4.9ish myself
|
By:
1.28 on Nadal is a joke. He's way too long. Barring injury he should be 1.10 for this over five sets. Soderling did play great last year but theres no was Nadal was anywhere near 100% fit. He doesn't miss months afterwards if he was.
Nadal on clay is the most dominant any player has been on any surface and yes that includes Federer on grass. No such thing as free money but this isn't far off. |
By:
1.27 is a huge price on the clay court GOAT.
|
By:
1.27, soderling will only beat him 1 in 20 and he did it last time
|
By:
If warm and sunny, Rafa clear favourite to wear down Soda in 4 or 5 sets. (Yes, big favourite in a close match even if it sounds funny to some here). If rainy, the main if not only weapon of Rafa, the aggressive spin, is reduced to nothing against the huge hitter in Soda. Everything Rafa hits, serve and groundies, are invitations for Soda to hit a winner. In rain all Rafa has left of his game is defence. That is top class but does not help to win too many points against Soda.
As for the weather forecast, the value is on rain and rain breaks. Therefore I had to bet against Rafa. It also is good to remember how Soda came back hot after the rain breaks in the Fed match. |
By:
id love to see soderling win this match but your getting 1.25 about nadal in one match.. he has been as short as about 1.4 to win it all anyway.. maybe this is all factored in
nadal is must bet material especially afte rlosing to robin last year.. and i want soderling to win! |
By:
Yes Morrissey, usually the markets are fairly close to the real values. Only way of making money by betting is to try to see which way the markets are slightly wrong if any way.
And funny enough, I always want Nadal to win! So we both bet against our favourite players :)). |

By:
Soderling will hopefully win this in the final against Raffa, he had the the stronger opponents for sure on his way to the final and dropped also only four sets here.
Montanes, Cilic, Federer, Berdych vs. Hewitt, Bellucci, Almagro, Melzer won the last meetings on tournament level and the odds are about 1,22-1,28 on Nadal??? Hahahahaaaaaa, what a joke?!! I am praying for wet and heavy conditions, then he will kick Nadal`s ass as he did one year ago. Come on Robin!! |
By:
Nadal will win 3-0

btw is Soederling pronounced as Sod erling or Soadaling?
Neither, it's Suh-derling as the ö has an umlaut. |
By:
Raining in Paris and the price is moving accordingly.
|
By:
why is söderling set bet 3-1 and 3-2 same price?
|
By:
you guys are crazy to oppose Nadal!!!
i have a grand on already at 1.4, will not be laying a single penny, and will watch Nadal destroy Sod in 3! |
By:
Nadal 3-0 for me, huge price given the way he has played so far and got here without dropping a set. Federer whooped Sods in straight sets in last years final after Soderling got past Nadal in four. Soderling had breezed to the quarters, but faced two long matches to reach the final.
Nadal has coasted, I expected him to drop a set against Almagro, but he got through by dominating the tie-breaks. I can see him having a tough time of it, but still think that given his better condition, he can get through in straight sets here. |
