Did you see the Nadal match last year? Nadal hit almost every forehand short. He played the worst game of his life in that match. Even then Soderling was lucky.

looking at the statistics of the match, you really have to ask how did federer lose? soderling 9 more winners than fed but 15 more UEs, and 2 receiving points less.
