Now hit 3.15.

The photo's of Loreens rehearsal are absolutely stunning, amazing, spectacular etc. and if the staging and performance are the same on Saturdany night as seen on TV and Loreen goes Direct To Final then i foresee Sweden's price crashing heavily towards Evens or odds on as there is no competition in the ESC field that can make a scratch on her. The only thing that could put a spanner in the works is Ukraine's televote if people mass on vote for it again but that may not happen if people decided that they voted last year in support and once is enough etc.

Happy to have a 5 figure green on Sweden, but I kind of like it when there's lots of different runners, etc. I guess playing the top 10 market could be fun now (if they add it).

Someone at the press centre has posted a 44 sec clip of the last part of Loreens dress rehearsal performance from the press centre stream despite a warning notice given on the live stream that it is prohibited to film or photograph this stream. You can clearly see the warning message given on the clip that was posted on Twitter. I think someone may be in trouble for recording the livestream and uploading it.

Here are a couple of articles regarding Loreens staging may be too heavy for Liverpool's arena..

Wiwibloggs: “It may not work” — Loreen’s staging might be “too heavy” for Liverpool’s Eurovision arena.
Link: https://wiwibloggs.com/2023/03/11/sweden-loreen-staging-too-heavy-eurovision-arena/276298/

Eurovoix: Sweden: Loreen’s Melodifestivalen Staging May Be Too Heavy for Eurovision.
Link: https://eurovoix.com/2023/03/11/loreen-staging-heavy-eurovision/

Should the staging be too heavy for Liverpool then the will have to find a way to overcome the weight problem in the arena if they want to keep to the overhead screen or they will have to change the staging to not include the overhead screen. I hope that all turns out good and well in the end.

As discussed earlier, there is no other obvious runner. While Finland can win the televote, they are expected to do poorly with juries. While some believe Spain will win juries, they are unlikely to do well with the televote. Sweden should come top 3 in both.

Sweden would be a poor winner. The song is "okay". The performance is decent, but it's very beatable with a good package, especially if Sweden cannot use their staging.

I'm a layer of sweden at 2, it's going to hit 3.5 at some point between now and market closure"

Sweden's last price matched at 1.80 and looks set to remain odds on due to the ongoing reveal of The Euro Jury results which Sweden are tearing Up Up Up and looks as though as nothing will slow it down.

The Euro Jury current medal standings of the top 5 after 13 Euro Jury results is as follows:

Country   Top 3*   1-7**

Sweden      10       2
France    5       6
Spain      4       2
Finland      3       6
Italy      3       5

*= number of times a country has been awarded an 8, 10 or 12 points
**= number of times a country has been awarded a 1 to 7 points.

Unless a country comes to within a couple of amounts of Top 3's or gets more amounts of Top 3's than Sweden then the price on Sweden looks set to remain odds on until the Press sees the performance on stage during the Semi Final One Jury Show and their reaction will eith cause Sweden's price to shorten or to drift outwards.

If nothing comes as close to Sweden in The Euro Jury results then we may be looking at a Portugal 2017 winner situation.

A rehearsal schedule has been revealed. Starting on Sunday, 30th April with the first rehearsals with Norway 11.30 to 12.00 and closes with Sweden 18.30 to 19.00. Times given are in CET time. As there is a press black out for the first and second rehearsals i do not know if there will be 20 or 30 seconds released of the first rehearsals or not this year. Does anyone know if they will be short clips of the first rehearsals given on the Eurovision youtube channel or TIKTOK this year? If there are short clips of the first rehearsals given on the Sunday then we will get to see what changes if any has been made to Sweden's staging etc. and the Betfair market will sure to react on the rehearsal clip. Link to rehearsal schedule i have found on this website link here: https://hellas.postsen.com/tv/309549/Eurovision-2023-The-rehearsal-schedule-%E2%80%93-Eurovision-News--Music.html

After today's 4 Euro Jury reveals the current standing of the top 5 stands as follows:

Country      Top 3*   1 to 7**

Sweden       14       6
France       9        10
Italy        7        9
Spain        6        3
Switzerland  5        6

*= number of times a country has been awarded an 8, 10 or 12 points
**= number of times a country has been awarded a 1 to 7 points.

Sweden's LPM was 1.82 and continues to shorten with each Euro Jury reveal. People who use the Euro Jury vote reveal as a guide to what the actual voting will be in May should note that the people who vote in the Euro Jury are voting on videos of National Final Performances, Previews and Music videos and not the actual live performance in May. With the ongoing issue of the 1 tonne LED screen that Sweden used in its Melfest performance no confirmation has been made as of yet with regards that it will be used in May. There have been people saying that it will not be allowed in May. There have been people saying that whatever Sweden comes up with as an alternative will have the same look and feel as in the Melfest performance. As of now, it is still tight lipped as to regards what will be the staging of Sweden but whatever the staging will be then we will see that staging in the first rehearsal clip of Sweden's rehearsal and the market will no doubt react.
