For once, living in Thailand pays off, I can watch the Oscars during the day. I've seen most of the nominated best pictures and I must admit to not being too impressed.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and The Irishman were ok, but I expected better from 2 great directors. I enjoyed Ford v Ferrari, Jojo rabbit and Joker and like most people think that Joaquin Phoenix was brilliant. 1917 was good, but  trading at 8/11 it has to be a lay for me. My idea of the winner in a mediocre year is Parasite, a clever movie and good fun.

Seen three of them;

Irishman? Dire beyond words
OUATIH? Given those involved, most disappointing, with every scene `Sharon Tate` was in, being superfluous. WTF was that five minutes in the cinema all about???
1917? Boring, a big nothing

If that`s the best Hollywood can come up with, and given the luvvies` hatred of him, best The Don nukes Hollywood pretty sharpish!
