Oh dear, accidentally pressed some button, posted before I had finished extolling her virtues, and my train left without me!
OK, as I was saying... Spoke to one MEM, who described her as `the Nation`s Sweetheart`, spoke to a grumpy old man who called her `snobby`, so mixed reactions, but I`d rather the MEM`s version, and I`m sure the grumpy old man has since changed his opinion of her. How could he not? She`s been a fantastic campster, thoroughly dispelling any notions of her being anything other than a pure delight! Backed her at up to 95, but just backed her now at 55, (What show are the layers watching???), so that`s the official price. STONKING value, don`t leave it too late! |
By:
I've dutched Kate(9/1) and Jac(6/4) for top woman, I don't think Caitlin and Nadine have enough to make it. so count me as having one toe on the train.
|
By:
That`s one toe more than my last two trains combined had in total, so I`m counting you as a passenger; welcome, enjoy the ride.
CHOO CHOO!!! |

Two spaz one train, imminent crash

Panel loving her, talk of `journey`, yet she`s still 40+? Oh, those crazy layers!
|

Go light a big one

How can such a delight NOT win this? Market still disbelieving, but 34 matched
CHOO CHOO |
By:
I've backed her to go next, I think she could be in the mix, there is a fair chance others in the frame for eviction might get some air time with the trial tomorrow.
|
By:
Booooo!
I`ve been topping up at 100 |

rearrange these 4 words .....
horse a flogging dead |

And I wonder why my trains always have so few passengers...
|
By:
Nobody will want to vote Kate out.
|
By:
I`m taking such positivity ^^^ as indicating a ticket holder, so three passengers, my fullest train in years!
Meanwhile, the delectable minx being matched at 27... |
By:
Tco
|
By:
A fourth passenger? Standing room only!
|
By:
Not quite Tim
|
By:
Another `Boooo!`, then
|
By:
22 matched; is tonight the night Miss Kate Garraway sealed the victory?
|
By:
No
|
By:
Boooo! Boooo! Boooo!
|
By:
Andy and Roman getting the trial, not Nadine. That may be enough to see her survive into the final 4
|
By:
Kate for me.
Nice of someone to give me a couple of quid at 80 t'other day. Took a punt on Nadine at 50s as well but probably too young and pretty. |
By:
Sounds like a definite fourth passenger, welcome aboard, vv
Nadine and Kate both attract the same kind of voter; given the only real vote that matters hasn`t even started yet, with Nadine gone, if Kate sweeps up the transference, this is not over. |
By:
n1 Tim. Glad she made it to the top 4. Very well deserved. Hopefully she can sneak T3 above the dullard Roman
|
By:
So far, feeling like a pyrrhic victory, fll. A 100 poke in the last four really should see much lower prices than even the 22 matched since the train departed. Seem to vaguely remember the insiders taking a right walloping one night maybe two(?) years ago, looks like we need a repeat. With Nadine`s voters, there`s hope.
|
By:
So sad to see the only Reality TV Show left with great liquidity swamped with insider money :(
|
By:
Sorry Tim, that's no relection on Kate, just that most deserving doesn't always win, the edit decides :(
|
By:
tbf scampie, Kate has enjoyed a great edit.
|
By:
unlucky with this tim, she had a really good last few days as well..totally deserved to make the final. it seems being genuine and real was outdone by the game playing jossa and roman...camera hungry brats !!!
hopefully the only humble andy smashes them up in the final, i feel thats why kate failed as she was fighting a similar demographic to andy for votes. |

Ditto this. Someone's almost certainly aware of voting figures. Likely more than 1 person. It was the same last year. |
By:
before the voting started for the first elimination my perosnal order was
Andrew Roman JJ Myles Caitlyn Nadine Kate James Ian Andrew Adele Cliff |
By:
I agree with Cider that Kate got a good edit and bagged one of only 2 solo trials. Myles had the worst luck imho. Someone who didn't feature much, but had the most to gain from getting a good solo trial, and just ended up sharing the worst trial at the worst time.
|
By:
Myles and Nadine had the worst edit, but then both are pretty dull and aren't good entertainment, so you'd expect that, and can't really have any complaints.

Thanks, army. On all we saw, still a bit mystified as to how she isn`t our winner; fantastic (and all positive) coverage, dwarfing that of all three finalists, which surely was down to just how much better a campster she was.
I have no problem with people having more knowledge than me and making use of that info, all`s fair in love, war and gambling, but the insiders really took the fun out of trading, at least since the night Adele went, and voting figures became available to them. Prior to that, had my best ever IAC book, but gave away about 25% of it laying Kirk as he shortened dramatically one night, 2.2ish? down to 1.8ish? Wised up, backed him lower to a happy enough green, and only really been tinkering since, trying to squeeze small bits out of relatively minor trades. Disappointed with losing 25%, didn`t want to spend forever looking back at how I`d gone from best ever to max red loser, so I suppose I have to thank the insiders for saving me from myself, as I would have been beyond max red on Kirk right now if the market was clean. And embarrassing myself on here by ranting incessantly about what dreadful value he`s been! Winning money is one thing, but I`m here primarily to satisfy my gambling problems, (well, `society` calls it a `problem`, but I have no problem with it at all!) to feel the buzz of the trading, so it`s with sad heart I`ll look back on this as `pre-Adele vote, great fun; post-Adele, boring.` Worse, we can be sure every future series will be the same, pretty much ending all the fun from the night of the first vote onward. You haven`t been posting much, assuming you`re still sitting pretty? |
By:
People that talk about gambling being a "problem" always come from the point of view that "gambler" = "loser" so you should stop altogether.
If you went to a Gamblers Anonymous meeting and started trying to educate people how to become profitable (or much less loss-making), by using an exchange and ditching all house-**** casino games and most bookies' odds, or attempted to explain about risk-management, you'd be escorted off the premises. Tell people you're a sports trader and they'll assume you're a loser unless you drive a fancy car and flash the cash. Claim to be a home-based equities or currency trader and they'll assume you're making a respectable living at it as long as you don't dress like a hobo (but they'll regularly annoy you my talking about some guy they know that makes millions as a city trader, not understanding that he's being given access to the fastest news feeds and being paid a salary and bonuses to risk other people's money for a fee without putting his own dosh on the line). |
