Well they pretty much edited Michelle Visage out about halfway through the series. She had some big competition too in the two Katies, wasn't very prominent and didn't have much of a storyline.

I think this is the reason Shane J is polling well. LGBT support aside, he has made an effort to get involved and entertain.

Well if this was the episode for TPTB to decide their winner they showed that they want Ann to win over Courtney without a doubt :)

Amanda was full of venom tonight. You look at the clip and she doesn't acknowledge anything Shane says as being valid, then has a pop at him over the trivial dress thing that she's clearly kept festering over for three weeks before then leaving the room.

There's a big difference between "Look I know my mate's a bit out of order sometimes but he's my mate so I kinda gotta stick up for him a bit despite some of his ways" as compared to "Whatever you say about my mate I'm not going to even listen to and anyway you're point isn't valid cos I don't like something completely minor and unrelated that you did a while ago that I didn't feel worth mentioning at the time, goodbye." In fact the oldies have completely closed ranks on him and his fans may well see it as ganging up or bullying, now that he's more vulnerable without Andrew.

The thing Amanda brought up about Courtney's clothing 'accident' wasn't articulated well but she was just calling him on being a game player. She doesn't realise that it has become acceptable to play a game in the current format, if it makes for entertaining viewing.

Undoubtedly - but they're pretty old so they don't really care about the politics any more.

The way I saw tonight's episode was Courtney trying to turn Wayne and Amanda against Ann (both of whom know Ann's religious views and respect them whether they agree with the or not). And they told Courtney where to go with his sly attempts at manipulation.

It's debatable whether it is "sly" or whether it is justifiable self-preservation as in expressing "I feel this person in the house is openly against me and they make me feel uncomfortable because they think and do the following...." which anyone in that environment is entitled to do.

It's really odd dynamic at the moment - three oldies that will no-doubt stick together, Shane and Malika aligned on the other side, Ashley saying what everyone wants to hear so not being clearly allied with either camp, Shane L trying to kept well away from everything, but seeming like a default oldie even though he's only 36 and Jess being the baby protected by and loyal to Ann-Amanda but not so likely to speak up. If Malika goes on Tuesday Shane J is going to have a lonely and miserable final few days.

This being a betting forum I guess my main point is that TPTB were trying to show Shane J in a bad light tonight IMO.

I think if this series was still on C4 Shane J would probably win (c4 are very PC, but c5 seem a more brexity/trumpy/annie type channel).

the ann love in continues this morning with a cracking vid of amanda and shane L, the latter is very much team ann and will go along way to shoring up ann's older vote

looks like they are really pushing to show ann's softer side, looks clear as a bell who there preferred winner is...but that does not always get them over the line.
my guess is the prods knows shane j has staunch support from the LGBT community and will support him no matter what and probably think he's in front with the support hes getting on twitter, especially as there seeing the hate ann is getting online.
