Christmas Number 1 2015 to be announced live on Top of the Pops and BBC Radio 1

With the race for this year's Christmas Number 1 all ready to explode out of the starting blocks, make sure you know where and when to tune in!

We're excited to announce that Top of the Pops will return to BBC One for two hour-long programmes dedicated to 2015's festive music battle on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, and will feature performances from some of pop's brightest stars, including Jess Glynne, OMI, Little Mix, James Bay, Sigma & Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding.

Meanwhile, Greg James will also reveal the news live on BBC Radio 1 in a special three-hour show from 10am-1pm.

It's a historic race this year as it's the first time the top spot has been unveiled on a Friday since moving from its Sunday slot earlier this year, and it's also Greg James's Christmas Number 1 debut.

He said: "It's the biggest chart of the year, and it's worth delaying my entire family's Christmas celebrations for! I love being the Official Chart host, and I’m so excited that I’ll be announcing the Christmas number 1 LIVE on Christmas day."

If combined sales means all purchases i.e. downloads and physicals then NHS can't win (outselling now 2 to 1 for 2 days won't come close to catching Beiber up on streams). What exactly does combined sales mean?
Report kh89 December 23, 2015 12:24 PM GMT
100 streams counts as 1 sale, i assume they are already including those sales.
Report bardo December 23, 2015 12:27 PM GMT
combined sales means sales from downloads, streams and in the shops

and combining all those 3 .. bieber is only 600 ahead

so of course the  NHS can win

Thanks, Jack, but while I and army may shout it out a bit louder than some, neither of us were anywhere near first, others were far more ahead of the curve than us two.
Excellent little market, always seems to come as an afterthought when we`re all bored with no XF/SCD etc, but backing the NHS high enough, laying XF pretty low, and Bieber very low, has turned my whole RTV year around, and I`m delighted with it.
Hope you`ve done OK, you`ve been here cheerleading as well.

Cheers Tim. I've been trading this market very nicely all week so was in for a nice payout whatever the result. I laid all the 1.08 on Louisa so got off to a good start and backed the NHS with the bookies at 10/1 and 13/2 best prices. It was looking like Bieber until the big momentum shift yesterday.

The NHS record is about to feature on ITV news in a minute by the way.

How many regular posters on here? We`ll call it 30
How many irregular posters on here? We`ll call it 30, too
How many post, but very rarely, on here? We`ll call it 50
How many lurkers? Plenty

So, at a very rough guess, 110 readers, and plenty of lurkers on this mighty fine forum, and YOU are one of them. 110 people who selflessly share their information and (in some cases, at least!) highly informed views. Indeed, as a whole, this select group is probably, pound for pound, amongst the very most successful groups of punters in the world. And YOU are able to benefit from all of this. FOR PHUCKING FREE!!!

Instead of being a selfish and ungrateful bast@rd, how about showing just the smallest bit of appreciation for their efforts?

We are currently in the `Judging Stage` of the `Specials Forumite Of The Year 2015` So far, only a handful of posters have voted. With voting being suspended tomorrow night, that`s a pitiful number. We all spent hundreds, even thousands of hours on here during 2015, yet YOU can`t think of one good post/thread/train/poster that doesn`t deserve even something as simple as your vote? Come on, play the game!

No `reg` can get away without voting, the very absence of your post will be a highly visible slap in the face to all of your friends on here. As you will notice, I`ve posted this on numerous threads, so no `I didn`t know` bollox, thank you very much! 30-odd regs equals 30+ votes, a reasonable sample. So do it. NOW! Yes, and you non-regs. Yes, and you lurkers. DO IT NOW!!!

OK, if you can`t do it now, you want to ponder it all, to give due consideration to this weighty decision, vote before tomorrow night, at least!

If you can`t be bothered to spend a few minutes to pay for what you received in 2015, you can rev up and PHUCK RIGHT OFF!!!!!

Bullet point;

Voters = Decent humans .
Non-voters = UNGRATEFUL SELFISH BAST@RDS!!!!!
