Whoever has the power will be able to influence, twist and control events in the House like never before in Big Brother: Power Trip.
Big Brother: Power Trip will initiate on launch night with Emma Willis and it will dominate the House for the summer. Housemates will have to be ruthless to seize power, keep it and impose their will on the rest of the house. The housemates aren’t the only ones – viewers will also be given the power to manipulate housemates throughout the series.
This year’s BB House has been completely renovated and redesigned. Gone are the sumptuous furnishings and ornate decorations of the last Celebrity Big Brother House and in their place now feature stark open spaces and sleek, clean lines in a House that looks as though it has been transported from the future. Technology is at its heart.
Emma Willis and Rylan Clark host Big Brother's Bit On the Side, the show that dissects and debates BB. Big Brother's Bit On The Psych is back on Saturday nights with Rylan Clark and Iain Lee, where a panel of experts and psychologists will analyse the "power struggle" in the House across the week. Joining them as a regular panellist on Bit on The Side and Bit On The Psych is Luisa Zissman. She’ll also be a roving reporter for Bit On The Side.
As ever, behind every mirror, multiple cameras will be tracing the housemates every move and as this year’s theme suggests, power is the key. So, who has the power? Big Brother will get back to you!

Seems likely to me that they will see who they nominate today, then get them to do it face to face tomorrow and they can decide whether or not to actually evict that person on Monday night if they're expendable, or send them to a secret room if they're not.

Big Brother 2014 nominations: Helen Wood immune from Armageddon twist Posted July 13, 2014 14:37 by Josh Darvill Helen during task 2 More on... Helen Wood Big Brother 2014
Big Brother’s face to face nominations take place tomorrow but Helen Wood will be immune.
Big Brother’s Armageddon twist begins live on Monday night from 10PM on Channel 5 with one big twist.
It’ll see the remaining housemates have to nominate each other live and face to face for the first time this series.
And in a never before done twist, the one housemate with the most nominations will get the boot and be evicted there and then in an instant and surprise eviction.
Not too much is known for sure about the process – such as what will happen if more than one housemate receives the most nominations – but BB has confirmed Helen Wood is immune.
While Jale Karaturp’s Killer Nomination tag was relaxed for a twist, Helen’s pass to the final is staying in place this week and she won’t be able to be nominated (and therefore evicted).
Meanwhile, with face to face nominations live tomorrow, housemates have become suspicious after not being called to the Diary Room today to cast their usual votes.
Speculating over nominations this afternoon, Christopher remarked: “We’ve only got four girls left… Ashleigh, Helen, Danielle and Kim… that’s it.
Remarking how it was quickly becoming a “c**kfest”, Steven added: “We’ve got one girl in the final”
Elsewhere, Ashleigh and Danielle spent the afternoon discussing Steven and Kim’s relationship.
“She’s certainly come out a lot more,” Ashleigh said.
Danielle commented: “I can’t say what will happen on the outside, I really don’t know.
But if it’s genuine and they do really love each other then everything will be fine but this is the last place you want to have a relationship in this house, it ain’t good.”
Big Brother airs tonight at 9PM and live tomorrow at 10PM on Channel 5.

Big Brother 2014 spoilers! Day 38 recap and highlights Posted July 13, 2014 16:53 by Staff Reporter KIM TALKS STEVEN More on... Big Brother 2014
Here’s a spoiler filled recap of all the latest goings on in the Big Brother UK house.
It’s Day 1 of the new task – Planet of the Apes. The Housemates wake up to find that the garden has been converted into a post-apocolyptic world. They are divided into two teams, red and blue with Ashleigh and Danielle captaining respectively. The red teams must stay around the sofas and the blue team the pool.
* Red: Ashleigh, Mark, Ash, Helen, Steven * Blue: Danielle, Marlon, Winston, Kimberly, Chris, Christopher
The Housemates must scavenge for food hidden in their areas. The food hidden is insects, eggs, fruit, buts and water. Helen is first to eat and insect, which she quite enjoys, Mark also eats an one, remarking that they taste like, ‘pork scratchings’. Both teams managed to scavenge food from around the garden. Most housemates tried the edible insects that were also hidden.
Mark talks to Big Brother and seems sartorially positive about the task. He is quite looking forward to a nuclear disaster as he thinks he looks, ‘cute’, in the outfits. He calls the red team, ‘the northern ninjas’, as it also contains Helen and Ash. He thinks the insects were OK but had, ‘an odd texture’, he did, however, feel that they were looking at him from the spirit world.
The next part of the task involved the teams standing under a large sewage pipe that is pumping out dirty, brown coloured water. Amongst the water, different size fish fall that the Housemates must catch. The Housemates take this task very seriously with Ashleigh rugby tackling Danielle to grab a fish, injuring her knee, and Ash bodily moving Chris from under the pipe. The blue team only get 3 fish but the red team net an impressive 12 fish. Captain of the red team, Ashleigh, gets to pick another two Housemates to escape the wilderness to go into the kitchen and clean up in the bathroom.
Danielle goes to the Diary Room and admits she is really annoyed with Ashleigh for knocking her over during the task. She says she is not going to talk to the red team and she, ‘demands a re-match’.
Danielle gives the blue team a pep talk in the garden. She says of her run in with Ashleigh: ‘Just to clarify, that was my f**king fish.’ She adds: ‘It’s on like Donkey Kong.’
The next part of the task sees the Housemates try and salvage scrap/junk to make a raft that will hold the weight of one team member on the pool for the longest period of time. Ash talk to the Diary Room about the red team’s strategy of barrel and bottle and Winston also goes to Big Brother to say that he thinks that the red teams raft hasn’t enough stability. Ashleigh wins, staying afloat for 5 minutes while Danielle’s raft isn’t sea-worthy and sinks immediately.
Winston remarks to Big Brother when asked how his strategy went: ‘It didn’t go to plan’.
Ashleigh asks Danielle if she really hurt her knee and apologises. Danielle then talks to Marlon and Kimberly about the incident, saying: ‘I’ve got dignity and class, I’m not going to wrestle someone to the floor for a fish.’
The victorious red team are rewarded with a sneak peek of Dawn of Planet of the Apes and a wild party with food and cocktails.
Helen goes to the Diary Room and talks about the fact that she enjoyed spending the day with Ashleigh, that she was a good team player and a good captain and she wasn’t a soft-a**e. She accepts that they will never be best friends but they can ignore their differences.
All of the Housemates are having a drink in the garden, Ash comments the fact they are all getting on is, ‘absolutely fantastic.’ They hear some music from the living area and all head in and have a dance. The song is ‘Happy’ and indeed they all seem to be, so much so that Helen and Ashleigh have a hug. Mark says: ‘Let’s all remember tonight.’
Ashleigh and Helen continue to discuss their relationship with Helen saying: ‘I’m a bitch and you’re a bitch.’ This similarity seems to develop a bond between them.
Kimberley and Chris talk in the smoking area about it being a weird day.
In the bedroom, Steven asks Helen if she fancies Ash. She says no, but he presses on that it’s clear there is a mutual attraction there. Helen says they’re good friends and she would never ruin a friendship. Steven says that Ash knows about her past and still likes here. Helen says he’ll find out even more when he gets out the house.
All of the housemates are in bed. Most are sleeping. Helen and Ash are whispering about what they will do when they leave the house. Helen says she’ll have to deal with a lot of negative stuff when she Googles herself. Ash says Google is just full of negative stuff. Helen says she hope Ash never Googles her, because she would hate that.

One housemate will be evicted from Big Brother 2014: Power Trip on Monday WITHOUT a public vote in a shock twist as part of ‘Armageddon Week’, it’s been confirmed.
Previously it was announced that four episodes of the show next week will be titled ‘Big Brother: Armageddon’, with Channel 5 currently airing a teaser trailer to promote them.
Today, the broadcaster has confirmed that first of these episodes, airing on Monday at 10.00pm, will be a live show fronted by presenter Emma Willis.
During the special, housemates will have to nominate face-to-face, giving full and frank reasons. However, instead of the most nominated housemates facing the public vote, whoever gets the most nominations will have to leave the house immediately in an instant eviction.
The new scheme is likely to infuriate fans as it denies them their chance to get involved, going against one of the few remaining uncompromised principles of Big Brother.
In the words of producers Endemol, the format of the show – famous for the catchphrase ‘Who goes? You decide’ – dictates that “viewers ultimately decide who has to leave”.
This will be the first normal eviction in the history of Big Brother UK where viewers would have no say whatsoever, despite the fact that producers have previously run shorter public votes.
On the launch night of the current series, there was a five-minute window to choose the first ‘Power Housemate’ via a free ballot on the official app, which also features a section for premium rate voting.
According to BB Spy...One housemate will be evicted from Big Brother 2014: Power Trip on Monday WITHOUT a public vote in a shock twist as part of ‘Armageddon Week’, it’s been confirmed.Previously it was announced that four episodes of the show

The third newbie is a game playing Sikh from Essex who reckons he knows how to take on the incumbent group of housemates.

£333 wanting to take 16 Henners suggests otherwise. Also with them not being the touted three there seems no reason why they shouldnt be eligible to win. Liverpool singer will obviously know Mark so a boost for him I think.

about 3 hours ago Are our housemates a judgemental lot? Well, today they'll have to be, because it's officially Judgement Day.
Before they went into the House, Big Brother asked Zoe, Pav and Biannca for their thoughts on their soon-to-be housemates, getting them to reveal who they thought was the funniest, the most boring, and the least genuine. Now, those judgements are going to come back to haunt them. Original housemates will be trying to guess what their new friends thought of them before they met - and whether they've changed their minds.
If the original housemates get the majority of the questions right, they'll win back bathroom privileges. If not, the new housemates will be rewarded in their luxury bedroom. So there's everything to play for, and lots of judgements to be made. Stay tuned to find out how judgemental housemates can really be...

the producers are clueless this year, normally you talk behind someones back and the viewers might see it, now every thing that is said behind someones back is played back into the house, the gossip app, the tweets that were read out, this task, the noobs listening in on christoper with an earpiece in, the true not true task where Danielle is exposed to a degree the viewers were Big brother, now the housemates are, Big brother concept in the bin they must want constant fights in there, viewers want to root for likable characters and see fun, not the sh1t they are feeding the viewers this year, plain ordinary housemates don't work, but the alternative does not need to be all wannabees, I don't think they even had open auditions this year, just cast it using housemates agents by the looks of things.

The 3 new YT clips have sealed the show: the Chris infatuation with Helen one followed by; the eavesdropping one followed by; Helen relaying to Mark and Winston.
Ashleigh wins. The Ashleigh Helen war is re-enforced as the main theme of this BB. Ashleigh can even afford to fight the coming battle imperfectly, viewers will support her as the good verses the evil Helen.
Chris finished. Soon after declaring his love for Helen he says “she’s everything I hate”. This is more than 2 faced, it’s cowardice. He’s on the right side of the coming battle at least so he might manage a weak T3 due to the weakness of half the field, if he survives Friday.
Winston damaged, probably beyond repair. Helen confirms him as one of her trusted lieutenants, he’s on the wrong side. He also laughs at conflict, again. Humour is good but he laughs at the wrong things, coming across as thick and insensitive.

Top post Henry. Ashleigh & Chris are also spot on about Helen being their worst nightmare AT SCHOOL (which she leaves out when recalling the conversation). It's almost a cert she would have been a bully at school.

Celebrity Big Brother is coming!
about an hour ago Although we'll be very sad to see our current series of Big Brother end, we're super super excited for the launch of CBB!
We've literally got stars in our Eye already, as you can see from the updated logo for the star-spangled Celeb series. But before we get on to that, all good things must come to an end, and this series of Big Brother is no exception. Our current crop of housemates will be turfed out on Friday 15th August, with the epic finale show starting at 9pm on Channel 5.
But fear not. Just two days later - and hopefully after the deepest of deep cleans - the House will be repopulated with celebrities on Monday 18th August, with the big curtain call again being at 9pm on Channel 5.
But hey - that's still aaaaaages away. Right now we're all concentrating on this Friday's double eviction! Which housemates will survive until the final week, and which will fall seven days short? You decide...

I don't buy the some-are-favoured-because-in-same-agency theory. I can't see any financial worth for any of them beyond the odd free party and the occasional £100 BOTS appearance fee.
