Cracking list this year but looks an absolutely wide open contest. Laura Marling should win of course for a 4th album which is even more brilliant than her previous 3. However, at this stage I think Foals or Disclosure are the most likely winners. Not many can be ruled out tho which is very unusual.

Amazing that for such a supposed credible music award Radiohead have never won it - one of the most cerebral UK bands of the last 2 decades. The Bends was not even on the shortlist - a shocking omission.

I don't know what the deal is with Radiohead either. Even more egregious than The Bends not getting nominated was Kid A being overlooked while the much inferior Amnesiac did get nominated. I doubt they car though. Atoms for Peace overlooked this year, too.

That Sanvean is enjoyably different, GB. Spent the whole track trying to figure out what language it is, only for wiki to tell me it`s `a euphonic and emotional pseudo-language`. Kind of like the atmospheric Cirque du Soleil stuff.
