Interesting night,but difficult to get a read on.
Jiggled around with RO and each round was "given" by Jimmy Iovine to the person singing last in that segment.To my ears all 9 performances were quite bog-standard,but Kree's homecoming emotional VT,plus emotional song in Round 2 and Candice's no thrills Broadway song in Round 3 (including SO and the biggest ramp of the night as the pimp slot dictates) were the 2 most memorable moments.
Angie possibly the most consistent of the 3,but could suffer from not having a standout performance (manufactured or not)
I wouldn't like to call this,and any of the 3 going wouldn't surprise me.I guess it's going to come down to size of fan-bases as its difficult to argue who won the night,and therefore won the floating vote.Will post the early Poll numbers.......

Having read the reviews earlier I was pretty sure on Candice going through but having watched her peformances I'm now a little unsure. One and Next to Me didn't really deliver to her usual very high standard. Somewhere (they really went to town on the production etc didn't they? She looked incredible!) whilst head and shoulders above the rest (which we've come to expect) didn't quite have the same effect as Love Song. Her youtube for this song is beating the others easily (again not a surprise) but again there isn't the same insane buzz their was after Love Song. She seems destined not to recreate that amazing week...they tried to recreate the moment last night but I think it fell a little short of being a 'true' moment. This maybe just my personal taste coming into play as there are plenty claiming it to be "the moment she won Idol" etc. And in her favour the judges were very gushing "see you next week" is a pretty definite statement as well, even if it was Nicki who said it.
But I'm at a loss as to who is going through. I would probably go with Kree going home even though she had an emotional moment it was in the middle of the show and her final peformance was a bit dud so the moment was lost a bit.
But Candice's pimp and Kree's emotional moment could easily have knocked Angie out too.
I have absolutely no idea which 2 will be in the final. No combination would be a surprise.

Like I said I wouldn't want my balls on the line with this one. Not seen it yet but going by what I have read seems the panel was going OTT over Candice. Could be that they are just pulling out all the stops to get her to the final...for whatever reason. As before layer's dream this year.

Keith has a near male orgasm on Candice's last song. She was bit off on the unnecessary belting moments but the verses and general singing were of stratospheric goodness.

Always had the feel Angie's fanbase was just a noisy online one and the "cool kids" vote, which often falls short in the end. She came across very annoying in her homecoming with all that clapping shiit...fake and a bit too perfect. I did like "Try" though I concede.
Kree I'm a big country fan but this girl will never win me over. I didn't even like her 2nd song that people were raving about. She's just so dull and doesn't do it for me at all. "Better Dig Two" was a dodgy choice for her and beyond inappropriate after her VT.

I will go for Kree to win. I think candice has been pimped because she is behind in the voting. Why TPTB want her to win feck knows. She isn't as good as we are told and she is very dated from a commercial perspective. How many records did Melanie Amaro sell. Kree will do just fine sales wise.

Agree with most of those points. However, against those is that Candice could potentially seem light years ahead of Kree vocally in a final - that makes more difference in a final.
Kree has been crushed with the bussing but tbf she was hardly ms charsima before the off. Hopefully back to business and wgwg next year....all females too hard to judge though it looks like the 2 best singers may have come through and the geographic voting demographics have held up again. Also the MAMs haven't voted for the pretty one shock horror.
Candice hasn't been pimped that much and her pimps are fine when they are deserved. They only backfire if you are shiit (Amber). America are with her for sure. I am fully aware of the redkneck threat as anyone who watches this show is but Candice has beat Kree on at least one week (After Lovesong when she had a relatively shiit week) more than likely beat her in quite a few other weeks too. So she can beat her in the final. They do need to be careful not to go to OTT though and make it come across as unfair as that could back fire. Faint praise for Kree please.
Kree won the toss and chose to go first in the final...not that it matters much in the final does it does leave Candice with another chance for a 'moment' before the vote lines open. From what I can tell there may still be original songs involved and one each from previous episodes.
I've greened up now as it's a hard one to call, Candice deserves to win but who knows what will happen on the night! I still have Candice as my best green but seems silly not to take a profit. Goodluck!
Indeed lookingon didn't think she'd be odds on so I'll be greening up some I think..would be daft not too if you are on Candice at big odds.. those country lot are always a worry, even if Kree is lame.
I expect her to be royally owned by Cnadice in the final though which would seem very odd if Kree does beat her.... part of being royally owned is your fanbase being completely demotivated by events that happen on the night and this is how I think it will play out...again they just need to be careful it doesn't come across as unfair.

And to address one of you earlier posts GB Candice is the real deal. She's absolutely brilliant... imo the best female ever to appear on one of these shows. Not marketable? Would Adele be seen as marketable? Was Angie really marketable? Who would have thought judging by her appearence she would have made it this far and be odds on in the final? She's defied the odds throughout purely and that incredible voice and delivery. Hopefully she can do it one more time..

The title of Kree's single seems to suggest it could be her own song dedicated to her parents which I discussed earlier in the thread.Her homecoming VT showing her with her sister,visiting the old family home was a very moving moment (even for an old RTV cynic like myself).It could be that we are in for a repeat dose here.

She's already milked the parents thing hopefully not again...but then Candice has "Beautiful" and we all know what that is about...hard song to nail I think though but this is Candice we are talking about. Round 1. Meh for both
Round 2. (Originals) Kree definitely had the better song (still have it in my head) but Candice's song although song very well never really went anywhere and was a bit naff.
Judges were fair throughout and ramped both.
Round 3. Kree's best perfomance but Candice overshadowed her with a part acapella reash of her I who Have Nothing peformance, it was f**king amazing ! Usually these reprisals fall flat but the arena went bonkers and so would have the vote lines. The judges didn't even need to comment.
Based on this and the fact dial idol have a as a green winner (never been wrong in final when calling a winner green) I think she's got it in the bag. It's the general feeling out there.

We were lucky enough to have seats at this show - and let me tell you the whole building went off on this performance. My poor friend Steve was getting hit by me the whole time - she totally brought it. I had goosebumps on my face!!! this was an AI moment. And she started off acapella. And with all the smoke - the producer had to jump up and down in front of the front row so that she knew to start. It was effing amazing - so glad to have witnessed that
