Then that just leaves the scousers themselves not on board going by an advanced twitter search...or maybe scouse nans everywhere are on board?

Report Dizzy42 December 2, 2012 11:40 PM GMT
I just think the Chris vote is not being picked up anywhere on-line.  Can be the only explanation.

Question is, in the final will this be replicated as a % of the first time additional voters?  Probably not.

True enough.  Anything is possible from here.  But his price is still short enough for an act already in B2 against two that haven't fallen into the drop zone.

I'd have him as a lively outsider of three, but it all depends on the first time voters of course.

Report mach December 2, 2012 11:44 PM GMT
If we got word in the star that Chris was still clear of his nearest competitor in the vote by 5%, would we think the price we have now is right, because we expect more votes in the final, and in the final two he struggles with a anti vote?
Reason I ask is, on past performances if Chris was top then he still will be now imo, but I don't know if that makes his price value or not.
Report Dizzy42 December 2, 2012 11:48 PM GMT
Yes, I take your point Mach.  But anti-vote probably a bit of a misleading one (either for or against Chris).

I think it'll be a pretty straight contest (excluding dodgy song choices etc.!), but I reckon first time voters will outnumber any new Chris supporters 2 to 1.  But are they more likely to back Jahmene or James?  Could end up being a fairly even split.
Report GeorgeBrush December 2, 2012 11:53 PM GMT

two things I got from tv polls today,
bet big on UJ going
cover James because his price will contract after the show
and Chris's numbers are alot better,
given that Chris stormed the vote with half the numbers on tv polls it makes it tempting to double my green on Chris

My guess is that Chris was leading up until week 8, due to no sing-off this week...  They obviously had not toppled him off his perch.

If, as the votes started to ramp up in the semi, he's fallen off top spot this week, then I agree there's no way back.

What we need now is another timely leak of course... But I doubt we're going to get it somehow!

Report GeorgeBrush December 3, 2012 12:11 AM GMT
Those that sold him last week did well imo

He's only come in a few clicks and there was a risk he could be gone
Report Dizzy42 December 3, 2012 12:14 AM GMT
Nah, only sold as cover for stake on Top 3 markets otherwise better to let it ride.  His price will still contract from here until the final.  4.5 is probably about right.
Report GeorgeBrush December 3, 2012 8:18 AM GMT
I shall lay once more at that price
Report Ski-Wiz December 3, 2012 2:34 PM GMT
I fully expect Maloney (funny how people on here are now on first name term, Chris, or using Maloney instead of Baloney) to be in the top 2.

Not a fan of x-factor on account of having one dysfunctional sense but how does the final work in term of betting? When someone is evicted for 3rd place will the betting continue till the winner is announced or remain suspended?

If betting isn't suspended then Maloney would be 2.5 ish. I would rather green up at that point and not the present 5 ish odds on offer.
Report Henry VIII December 3, 2012 2:45 PM GMT

Yes, I was wondering if you were deaf or just tone deaf Ski. None of my business of course. Just idle nosiness.

Whilst I love music I don't think I have as much idea of what the public will like as most on here. Knowing song choices beforehand is not much use to me. They corrupt the songs anyway so it can deceive even the most knowledgeable.
