Most of them have been dull singers. They really dont get what makes a good show.

There is little difference between this and the X Factor. They are both looking for credible artists not good singers.

Give the public a good singer, and they will become a credible artist. Give them a credible artist and they will not necessarily become a good singer, and they will disappear in no time.

XF is looking to sell ads, nothing more nothing less.

Plenty of good singers aren't credible artists. Its NEVER just about the voice.

That depends on the audience and buying public. But I am sure a singer with a good voice has more longevity than someone who fits the criteria of being 'now'.

The problem with the X Factor is that their winners and other acts go on tour for half a year after the show finishes, and by then the public has gone onto the next thing. If The Voice does that too, the same will happen.

There are plenty of what many people would consider bad singers who have had longevity.
It's the songs that matter and having something to say, not being pitch perfect

Yep the songs, and charisma. Spice Girls had one decent singer out of 5.

Groups are a different kettle of fish though, they have teenagers swarming over them.

If they have the voice, they can vary their music with the trends. If they dont, they are limited to a particular era of music.
