definitely GB2. She lost all her momentum with that show dance. Pasha has done some great choreogarphy, but that wasn't his best
Show would still be better if they returned it to live elimination on a 2nd results show on a Sat night, and having a dance-off - but most importantly, dancing the dance-off fairly. It should never have been left in Len's hands - if Len makes it 2-2, it should go to public vote, like deadlock in XF - would make the show far more exciting.
And the Beeb should be forced to release the voting figures - disgraceful that they don't.

Got a bit rabbit in headlights so 1800 chelsee and 500 harry. Couldn't bring myself to desert her for pennies at the end.
Kicking myself for missing the forecasts though as had written jason off weeks ago
I do think Harry will have won, but can't be more than 60%-40%.

His height was the warning sign, sean - which I even flagged up myself, and still backed him 
Yeah had few quid on Lobb early as I thught he was the MEM candidate. That was harry of course. Both wooden but at least harry isn't an obvious woman hater.

Could never see Chelsee beating Harry and have to disagree GB2 - Harry a thoroughly deserving winner. Different class to the rest come series-end. Like I said before, not a winner for me but I like to see justice on these shows as much as turning a profit and that was the right result.
I have a theory that whoever dances the Argentine Tango in the Final has a HUGE advantage, it is just an outstanding dance to watch
i think with a decent show dance chelsee could have won and still think it was reasonably close.

Harry was the perfect clean cut middle England photofit for this show. It's a show that favours this type cos of voting demographic. Initially, I thought he was too bland and his Latin not up to much, but he came out of his shell and his dancing improved no end. He could have only lost if the judges had set about de-ramping him and focusing on criticisms of his routines over the last month or so (what they did with Baker), while ramping and raving about Chelsee, and throwing in a heart-rending back story to reel viewers in (what they did with Kara).

Chelsee had a mountain to climb as she had the MEMs natural gravitation to harry plus a rather nasty snobbish attitude towards her by many. I disagree that she couldn't have beat him even against those odds. maybe on the night she wasn't quite good enough but I saw more than enough on twitter tonight to tell me that if she had nailed the show dance she would have run him VERY close indeed.
I don't think she needed any help jr. Her personality, her partnership and little things she said about people liking her meant she could have won anyway.

Surprising given how good Pasha has been with the choreography. Just saving that neck spin til the end would have given the dance more impact.

You need to do a formal FOI. get refused and then appeal to the Info Commissioner or whatever its called. We know their spurious reason for refusal ie hurting the reputation of the contestants...complete bollox of course. they are more than happy to release for XF "no marks" it seems. Do they also release for DOI...can't remember?
yep, excellent call cider. The 11/10, chelsee 40 backers unlucky. Both her Jive and Rumba were both worth 40 in the context of a final

They release the SPOTY vote don't they? can't see why they don't mind offending the sportspeople but celebrity dancers, no can't have that 
I don't think the showdance would have changed anything. Chelsee had the advantage of being up last. They were very kind to her throughout, talked her up, over-scored her showdance as it was, and her rumba was not great. She always looked rough round the edges to my eye. Harry would have smashed the pv. I'd anticipate him winning by more than 60/40 over Chelsee, probably closer to 70/30. You have to accept sometimes when you've lost fair and square. It wasn't a good series for me but I'm feeling blase about it (and SPOTY) cos my Little Muffins winnings ensure over the 3 markets I've come out well on top.
I agree Johnny I think Harry won by a large distance tonight. Showdance was a letdown but wouldn't have changed the final result. Would prefer to see the actual voting results though so we can know and not speculate withour resolution

But I won jr and I ain't losing any sleep over tonight's result. I think 70/30 is way off. If the BBC are being selective with which results they give out then they are on thin legal ice not revealing these figures.
I think it would be worthwhile for a few of us to independently drop the BBC a line, and demand they release voting figures. If it comes from enough people, they might re-consider. It's a total insult they don't do it.

Then we can add your ignorance of the FOI Act to your general lack of knowledge Ham. It doesn't matter where the request comes from. FLL I don't mind making a formal request and then challenging it just out of badness. I just need a comprehensive list of which reality shows do and don't get released and which channels they are on. Give me that and I will do the rest.

nothing stopping all of us emailing them at foi@bbc.co.uk I will go first and also ask them to say which specials they do release them for. ITV release DOI so no reason why the BBC can't.

AT and the American Smooth a winning combo for sure. Debated this point with Squares earlier in the week. First time that the Argentine Tango has been done in the final I think - but you're right, it's a real crowd pleaser...
GB2 - would be fascinating to see the final split, but my gut instinct all along is a young handsome man (in a boy band, no less) will always beat the tart with a heart hands down. It could have been close - but based on the performances tonight, I would guess Harry walked it...
Pure speculation, but I would be confident that Harry won by a larger margin than the Little Muffins... 57-43 is my guess, but could be as much as 63-37. Would be really interested to know, but I doubt we'll get any joy from Auntie Beeb.
Well Dizzy they have just received the following FOI request. Let's see what they say to these. i have actually not specifically asked for these %'s tonight but will do now. I would like to make a request under the FOI Act for the following information:
1. Which shows do the BBC currently have a public vote to decide the winner?
2. Which shows that have a public vote to decide the winner have those vote percentages released at the end of the show after the winner has been declared?
3. Which shows that have a public vote to decide the winner do NOT have those vote percentages released at the end of the show after the winner has been declared?
4. If some shows do have percentage votes revealed and some do not what is the policy and the reasons for the different approaches to different shows?
1. Which shows do the BBC currently have a public vote to decide the winner?
2. Which shows that have a public vote to decide the winner have those vote percentages released at the end of the show after the winner has been declared?
3. Which shows that have a public vote to decide the winner do NOT have those vote percentages released at the end of the show after the winner has been declared?

It is quite puzzling that they are happy to provide the information on SPOTY but not SCD. Bizarre really for a corporation that prides itself on transparency...
Sent this now: Please could you let me have the percentage votes for each week of the current series of strictly come dancing up to and including the final? If I don't get the answer I will appeal further and if not then will ask my MP to write to the Minister of Culture for an answer. The truth will out!

I bow down to your superior knowledge on this, but I thought that rumba was the dance of the series. With the exception of Harry's Viennese Waltz it is the only dance that moved me this year.

It received a mixed response on here, but I thought it was superb and couple of people who I spoke to last night felt the same.

It showed how far she'd came too as she'd never have been able to bring that sort of emotion to a dance even a couple of weeks backs.
DS worshipped Chelsee throughout so no surprise there.
