Any chance of some elimination markets this week?

How about.......

- to go
- highest scorer
- bottom two combo
- to reach the final
- lowest scorer

Thank you in advance

seconded.
Though I guess we need confirmation of how the semi will work for some of the markets.

lol at the prices.

The compiler reads the forum ;)
Report Cider December 7, 2009 1:28 PM GMT
Do you think they are correct fll. HJS wrong way round, no?
Report Cider December 7, 2009 1:30 PM GMT
A probs 50 for vw so only need 41 with AT for that.
Report Cider December 7, 2009 1:31 PM GMT
Either that or i'm barkering up the wrong tree :(
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 1:32 PM GMT
Yep, that looked the possible value, but if Ricky does the QS he could get 50 too.
They'll only let me have £18, so I didn't bother.
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 1:40 PM GMT
Chris' rumba from week 1.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXG3o862eTI

For a male celeb doing the rumba, in week 1, I thought this was an outstanding effort.
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 1:46 PM GMT
Yep, it was an excellent dance for him...and it was nice of Ola to forget to put a skirt on.

cider - There might be some value there, but no SJ style ricks.
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 1:47 PM GMT
Maybe she'll leave her knickers off too for the semi final.
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 1:51 PM GMT
Ironic thing for Ali or Ricky if they come second with judges is they need to plead the public not to vote for them.

If they get the 1 point from the pubic they are in a dance off vs Chris, if they get 2 points from the public they are in dance off vs the other one.

Another farce for the scoring/dance off system.
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 1:59 PM GMT
Aye sean, it's a nonsense, but atm there's nothing to suggest they're going to alter it.
It's just wishful thinking on the part of DS and us Chris backers.
Hopefully we'll know more after ITT tonight.

As for Chris' rumba. It looks a 9 dance to me and maybe a 10 or two if he's lucky.
Certainly there's no chance of him looking out-classed.
Report maiaze December 7, 2009 2:01 PM GMT
Could we be so bold as to hope that he acctually doesnt finish bottom with the judges !!!!! stranger things have happened
Report Cider December 7, 2009 2:07 PM GMT
He will look a pillock doing the AT.
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:07 PM GMT
You never know maiaze.
He won't be far behind the other 2.
His AT could be OK too. It has a similar feel to a rumba.
Report Cider December 7, 2009 2:07 PM GMT
lol; difference of opinion there!
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:07 PM GMT
lol cider.
We don't agree on this one.
Report Cider December 7, 2009 2:10 PM GMT
From the ones I've seen, the footwork is very intricate too. Added to the constipated look he has when in serious mode.
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 2:12 PM GMT
I think his AT will be fine, trouble is Ali and Ricky are going to get 49/50 for their QS/VW's.

Ali will do a very good AT, not too sure about Ricky. If Chris can get 47+ in his rumba then he has a slight chance of overhaling Ricky.

I would still make 1/4 to be bottom.

I disagree with there being no obvoius ricks with lads btw.

I think there is one or two big ones, and 1 small one.
Report Cider December 7, 2009 2:17 PM GMT
The danger is ruining a great position, like Spurs yesterday :0

I've done Ali to go at 4-1, Highest Judges Score 11-8 and to beat 90 points.

Chris 83 points i'm not sure, the judges could give him a **ing and his AT will look tame vs the other two (imo :) )
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 2:18 PM GMT
The 91 or over for Ali looks like it should be more like 1/5 than 5/6
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:18 PM GMT
Yep, Ali over looks a stonking bet and Chris over now we know he has the rumba.
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 2:20 PM GMT
price now gone, managed to get 300 on.
Report Cider December 7, 2009 2:22 PM GMT
Must admit the Ali to go is a bit of insurance, the price is not bad. If she is in the dance-off due to coming second it ought to be tradable.
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:23 PM GMT
n1 sean.
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:25 PM GMT
I was looking at bets to cover my chris position. I never looked at the overs.
Report maiaze December 7, 2009 2:26 PM GMT
i aint covering nothing just sit back and enjoy the ride
Report Cider December 7, 2009 2:26 PM GMT
The two things conflict for me, Ali/Ricky dance-off is 2.5 but Ali to go is 5 whereas Ricky to go is 2.37 but they price up Ricky to win the judges score. itdoesntcomputeproperly.com.
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:29 PM GMT
like a naked rollercoaster ride, maiaze :D
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:31 PM GMT
yep, true cider.
Ali looks too big elim.
Report Cider December 7, 2009 2:35 PM GMT
The issue is Ali getting a higher score for VW than Ricky gets for either of his dances and still finishing behind him in the table. Still, it would be priced up much closer in a dance-off scenario between the two. Alesha and Bruno on Ricky's side?
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 2:36 PM GMT
With 49 or 50 likely for Ricky and Ali in their first dances it going to be all up to the AT to see who comes top.

I suppose Chris to win backers will be cheering on Ricky in that race, although I wouldnt completly rule out Ricky beating Ali in the public vote (a double bottom 2 bounce, if he's second he will be percieved to need the votes more, QS is a more crowd pleasing dance than the VW).
Report squares December 7, 2009 2:40 PM GMT
unders / overs taken off ?
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 2:40 PM GMT
All the judges adored Ali's VW first time around. Im sure Craig would save Ali and Alesha would save Ricky. Wouldnt be 100% about the other 3.
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 2:42 PM GMT
imo the lads compiler priced the scores up on the basis that they were doing the R+R and Charlston.
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:43 PM GMT
I don't agree that Ali will do a good AT.
She doesn't do strong dramatic. Her Paso and the Tango this week were average.
Floaty romantic is the only thing she does well.
I'm confident Ricky will beat her in the AT.
Report squares December 7, 2009 2:45 PM GMT
agree with that FLL.

Has anyone else other than Crooks got SFs?
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:46 PM GMT
A top AT market on here would be good.
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:47 PM GMT
I've not seen any other prices.
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 2:50 PM GMT
Intresting figgy, I thought she might be able to pull out something like Rachel Stevens AT, although just looking at her tango she way outscored Ali, whereas Ali's was poor.

However I think the AT will suit Ali more than the proper Tango, just that bit slower and more intricate (her rumba and arm work during her slasa showed that she is very good at being intricate)
Report five leaves left December 7, 2009 2:55 PM GMT
hmm maybe sean.
I still don't see her getting the drama of the dance and the judges are sure to pick up on that and mark her down.
Report Cider December 7, 2009 2:57 PM GMT
Will it be a fair fight? We've seen some crazy marking through the series and surely the judges will be aware that Ali top is likely to lead to Chris being in the dance-off.
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 3:02 PM GMT
Its a hard dance to handicap.

Another point in Ali's favour is that girls score much better (apart from Ramps of course)

36, 38, 39, 39 =38 average for girls

30, 39, 35, 36, 34 =34.8 average for the boys.

Not a huge sample size, but relevent.
Report Cider December 7, 2009 3:05 PM GMT
+ of course the judges blatently ignored Ali and Brian's faux pas in the group dance to give 10.
The truth is probably that with any of these slebs faults can be picked up on and they can choose to ignore Ali's.
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 3:09 PM GMT
Yea, I really think a fair score for Ali at Saturday for her tango was about 36, it was really lackluster. Instead she got 42.
Report squares December 7, 2009 3:10 PM GMT
and that fluffy samba shouldn't have got any 9s imo
Report seanvice December 7, 2009 3:14 PM GMT
agreed squares.
