Scottish Open 2024

After 48 hours of broadband issues (no connection at all on Monday morning followed by a connection that was constantly dropping and reconnecting) it finally seems to have reverted back to normal.  Probably done me a favour, TBH, looking at some of the results! (albeit not sure which matches were on LV)

The Ishpreet v Aly match caught my eye albeit Ishpreet didn't let Aly go off into the sunset like Xu had done....

Yeah pretty heated match, gent moaning about opponent putting me off. Not sure was there one specific flashpoint but Kowalski was getting bit emotional at times, berating himself, stamping cue, that kind of stuff. Can't have helped that Kowalski got all the run of ball that i saw anyway. Last thing i heard on feed was Kowalski saying to ref "he's really mad at me isn't he"

Ma does all the hard work in getting down to the black with a chance to steal but ultimately ends up sticking it, 1-1 Mugthew.

Mugthew misses and sticks the difficult final red when in to steal from Ma, but Ma then misses frame ball black.  Does get the snooker on the yellow, though.

Slessor moaning like foook under his breath after Ajaib gets an inadvertent cannon and gets away with it.  Slessor stands up and concedes with Ajaib still in the balls and scoring, albeit over the line.  Poor form.  4-1 Ajaib.

Yuan misses a surprising virtual match ball.

Tian's played some horrific shots in this frame.  4-2 Stan barring a snooker with only pink and black left.

Bulcsu needs snookers or it's 4-2 Yuan

Jiang gets a chance to get back to 3-2 down v Dotty.  Gets the not straightforward green but leaves himself snookered on the brown

Matters not, 3-2 Dotty

Scruffy W, but Urse eventually takes it.  Good to see him winning again.

Mostafa steals from Jordan Brown, leads 1-0.

Dilley pulls out the © Mags and pretty much gets away with it

Brown blows a golden chance to steal by missing the brown, but it doesn't look like mattering until he misses and sticks the black, Desmond!

Noticed ref went over to him when he hit his cue on the floor - don't seem to notice any refs when other players like Maguire and Ronnie do similar. Double standards.
