Referee doesn't deserve a pass as they are trying to say. Firstly, he made a mistake, and secondly there was no reason why it shouldn't have been looked at. It would have taken no longer than it takes for the balls to be reset after a foul shot. He was just worried he might have got it wrong.

I've just seen someone put up the likely draw fir the WC,if what i've read is right O'Sullivans git a virtual bye to the semi final already,plays Hawkins and Murphy he's drawn all his favourute mugs again,just incredible..He could play Trump in the semi finals but after this weeks performance you couldn't toucg him,i expect his prices t get smashed off the boards if that draws right..And you can imagine what the top halfs like a nightmare fir whoever comes through,couldn't understand why he was 4.8 yesterday he'll be 9/4 by the off if that draws right..

Nice eary pruces on O'Sullivan 9/2 but the best bet is the 33/1 fir SPOTY if he wins he wins that as well,no way Luke Littler at 4/1 can win it 16 year old thats only just started out against someone winning 8 world titles,doesn't make sense to me 14/1 now O'Sullivan still looks massive,better than the 11/4 to win the WC..

Decent from Wilson, but gave away too many chances, and didn't cash in on enough of his own. Safety game exposed too often.

As for Sports Personality I would worry about anything that the public decide. Aren't they open to manipulation with possible campaigns to get someone over the line?

For all that Williams has played well, Allen has been abysmal. On that performance he should be qualifying for the World Championship, let alone winning it. Body language terrible throughout. Looked totally devoid of any confidence. What was the pre-match betting like, anyone have a crystal ball?

Every single player is trash,thats Allens chances gone he said he was tinkering with his game there's literally no one playing well it's utter dross and O'Sullivan gets one of his favourite whipping boys in the final,another 10-4 10-5 Williams has never beaten him over a best of 19 in 30 years...What a joke.

Allen is such a weird player - can perform like a GOAT or like an amateur. Couldn't trust him as a bet at the WC at all.

Unless Williams wins the next frame it could be a very short evening. Williams has got away with plenty this week, but O'Sullivan punishing him in double quick time. Demoralising. Most players beat before they start against O'Sullivan. Tonight might confirm if Williams is also in that bracket.

Always an odd one when odds for a different tourny change so much due to a current tourny - I suppose it shows his current form and that of the main challenges, but still, it's a new game once the WC starts?

Only caught the last three frames, but good to see Ronnie still has a complete capitulation in him in a long-format match if you put some pressure on, just like he did against Luca at the Crucible last time around.

Just typical i've been watching IPA pool all night,what the hell happened absolutely gutted the one time someone plays well against him and i miss it..

Very pleased Williams defied the odds and derailed O'Sullivan. Hopefully, someone can do similar in the big one.

Unfortunately it was the only time this season bar Selby winning 6-0,i'm sure normality will be resumed at the WCS..

I thought Ronnie did a classic 'Ronnie' - a random drop off in performance as he has done over the years before. Seems off his game oddly, goes with his shirt choice this week.

Still think he will be right there in the WCs - maybe that was even playing on his mind in this one.

There were some shots he played (Ronnie) that I felt he deliberately didn't care if he missed later on. I felt he could have just 'tanked' it at a certain point, with the WC on the horizon to focus on.
Maybe didn't want a marathon slog late on just before the WC efforts. Might sound a bit mad, but this is Ronnie we're talking about...

Hardly madness to think that O'Sullivan doesn't always give 100%. That's what the commentators want you to believe.

I can't see him ever deliberately tanking in this upcoming WC, whether he wins it or not.

As I said last night, Stu, he 100% capitulated against Luca last year, in a way not dissimilar to last night.

He did somewhat there yes Lat - not sure exactly 'tanking' would have been how I described that loss to Luca though, who was playing excellent of course at the time as shown by him going on to win the whole thing.
But it's true he did collapse somewhat against him there.

Ronnie was 10-6 up and lost 7 on the spin, Stu.  He missed plenty of sitters that afternoon and looked like he had very little interest by the end.

yeh, guess it's a fairly good comparison. He can throw in these crazily bad performances, despite at other periods looking utterly unbeatable.
