Entertaining how? He has found a niche way to win a few titles, bore everyone else over the course of 3 weeks. He is definitely talented with the mind games etc, but never has a sport had a player with so little natural talent win the big trophy as MS has in snooker.

It takes more than just skill or natural talent though

He finds a way to win, if other players with more natural talent can't compete with him it proves he's got more upstairs

Trump has one lucky title remember, everything fell for him that tournament and the pockets were silly set up and favoured him big time. Selby will win more world titles than him by a fair way.

What’s Trump got to do with anything? As I said you can’t knock Selby’s will to win and ability to grind out results, but as a spectacle, the beeb would be better off showing a tooth being pulled out. That said, tubbs is making a good fist of the comeback here…

Absolutely no doubt that Selby is the man to have on your side in a marathon match. He's proven that . However he will frankly to do absolutely anything to put his opponent off/out of his stride when the opponent is playing well and he isn't. Call it dark arts or whatever it certainly doesn't make for pleasurable viewing . If everybody played like him then snooker would be finished as a spectator sport. Can't see Luca winning but my goodness I hope he does. Selby doesn't deserve to have five world titles playing this brand of snooker but sadly I suspect he's going to.

No doubt he's stronger mentally than probably anybody but his gamesmanship (win at all costs) mentality is nauseating . No wonder the crowd tend to get behind his opponent.
I'm sure Mark will care all about this when he wins his fifth world title tomorrow(happy face).

he's a great snooker player no doubt. but it's unfortunate he chooses to play the way he does -very boring to watch and bordering on gamesmanship at times

Dont think its ronnie or judd fans crying..? Ronnie can never be backed for this event as doesnt enjoy it, imagine how many titles he would have if he did! Judd possibly the most overated player of modern times. Those that are voicing concerns are those that are fans of snooker as a sport imo

Fans of snooker should realise the game is about more than potting balls, it's about strategy, prediction, skillful table control, and yes safety play.
I am a snooker fan and thoroughly enjoy watching all these elements...as well as potting and making breaks.

I pause the action for half an hour and then play on x6. Rinse and repeat.
