World Class temperament. Will be a real force when he ups his game a gear.

Will this be before or after Lisowski wins a main event.

Just wondering if you are recommending to bet O'Connor each event too.b

Looks like a long term losing plan.

I like him a lot (mostly because he has done me a few favours) and he has already upped his game a gear or two imo.

But he's a long way from World Class - even against a backdrop where all the Chinese (particularly Xintong & Big boy) are missing, plus Robbo, Selby, Higgins, etc looking way, way out of sorts. You just have to look at who has "qualified" (and who has not) for this current tournament to see that it's been a very strange season for some of the usual suspects.

I'd like to see him win something - but I fear the Scottish Open, where he lost very badly to the Cabbie, might have been his best chance. Hope I'm wrong though.

I like him, too, and I take encouragement from the fact he's competitive again here after the disappointment of the Scottish, where the wheels unquestionably came off in the final.  That could easily have stunted his growth as a player, but it doesn't seem to have done so.  His temperament is almost always rock solid, and you couldn't help but be impressed with how he kept answering Luca yesterday.

He doesn't score great, but his game definitely shows signs of benefiting from having practiced so much with Selby, which will certainly help to counter that a little.

It'll be interesting to see how he goes at the Crucible, if he gets there.  I think logically the longer format matches should suit him even better.

(PS easy to forget he only became a pro in 2018, so he's a baby compared to most of the other pretenders)
