It is such a prestigious and highly respected ranking event - that Eurosport are sticking with the Tennis on both channels even though there is only one live game still left in play!

Looking forward to the clash of two great champions and former winners of this event (Gould v Bond).
It's the gift that keeps on giving this tourney! |
By:
Cao v Pang - the "lag" was more exciting than the match!

The crowd are very subdued (imo) - maybe it's the absence of Rob Walker or maybe it's due to yet another change of venue - but hopefully they will get some alcohol into them before the evening session and we can have riotous scenes and debauchery later tonight.
Highlight of the day so far: 12 year old Stan "The Action" Moody Lowlight of the day: Cao v Pang - 3 lags required due to Pang not understanding it Can Reanne (MBE) progress past the first round tonight (at the fourth attempt)? |
By:
the crowd miss their leader "Rob Walker"

Apologies! - I'm a bit gutted to find out that Stan Moody is actually 16 years old (to be fair he does only look about 12) - Anyway, sorry about that, I have 4 TV screens in the office, so rarely have any volume unless something important is occurring. I watched it back this morning (with volume). Still a remarkable performance imo.

15 the management you will get it right 1 day
|
By:
I'm gonna blame it on the sub-titles bob and too many screens! - I'm pretty much 100% I saw the words "just 12 years old" on the screen (presumably he did something or won something when he was just 12 years old) but I was also watching a replay of Mondays racing and some tennis at the time!
Anyway, at least we have cleared that up and we can all agree here and now definitively, absolutely and beyond all doubt that he is actually 14 years old! |
By:
btw - I am aware that Eurosport don't actually do subtitles - because nobody can understand what Rachel Casey is saying or type that feckin quick! But I got it from somewhere!
|
By:
disappointingly quiet on here for this monumental event
|
By:
how anyone can watch this crap is beyond me, but players like trump want more of it. More dumbing down, more crap. That is the way snooker is going.
|
By:
watched some of it on Friday evening, the overall quality is dreadful
|
By:
How very dare you! - It's officially a rank tournament..... sorry, er, ranking tournament!
tbf the table set up is for drama - rather than high quality or one visit snooker. |

It's that time again already!
The most prestigious rank event (sorry, ranking event) is back. Can the reigning champ survive the first 5 minutes of play? |
