Tbf i don't think reanne can be a direct replacement for jv as there's too much chance she'll qualify for the crucible and go all the way and win it. Kind of mucks up the schedule!

The World qualifiers will probably be best of 3 the way it's going, but the current regime might give Evans, Hendry, White, Ken, Wattana and On Yee Ng byes to The Crucible. Good for the game innit.

Disgusting that Tony Knowles doesn't get one imo, got more publicity for the game than all those put together. Should have a wc for life.
Game needs some new names. Watching a bit of the European juniors this week, not exactly bowled over by the standard, though the Belgians got one or two nice players on the go whatever they're doing over there. |

can't stand Virgo or Taylor on comms...both seem top blokes...remember JV and his wife tried to help Kirk Stevens a lot when he was struggling with addiction issues..
but just too shouty/over excitable for snooker comms (JV) and Dennis thinks the whole audience are complete numpties so just relentlessly explains every shot...  |

Well, I can't discern any drop off in terms of quality from JV. I think the public like to hear from the game's tribal elders. I believe he will be retained.

I used to see Virgo at the races every now and then, he was a very friendly chap. Windsor and Sandown usually and he loves a punt. He owned a horse called Jokist who won a few races, mid 90's I think or thereabouts.
