I just watched a recording from last night of Judd's 9-0 demolition of Joe Magee.

Although I know nothing about 9-ball pool and the opposition looked very tame it seemed to be a pretty impressive start from Judd!

It will be interesting to see how far he can go - Ladbrokes have him as 6/1 favourite which is obviously a false price for mug backers - I'll be watching his next match tonight with interest.

The dude he played last night - no disrespect to him because he paid his entry fee and thus had every right to be there - was absolutely useless, I'm a snooker player who has dabbled with 9ball for fun and there is no way on God's Earth he could beat me at the game.

I'm afraid Judd will get beat by the first vaguely competent player he comes up against. Anyone taking shorter than 1000/1 about him actually winning the US Open needs locking up.

Yeah, I've never played 9-ball and yet I reckon I could have given last night's opponent a run for his money!

As you say, it will be interesting to see how Judd goes against a good player.

It certainly brings some added interest to the event for UK viewers regardless!
