Are we not already running a flash-free version? (and have been for quite a while?)  Is that not why the pics are so much laggier (or at least part of the excuse why - we know the REAL reason) than they were 12 months ago?

I didn't realise that! I have been putting off looking into it ever since the annoying messages kept popping up on my screen.

I rarely use LV is most of the snooker is on the TV anyway.

I'm pretty sure that's where we're at with it.  I always used to get a message telling me to enable Flash in the little lock icon, but I've not had that for ages.  Admittedly I have lost track of time a little bit over this bizarre year, but I think it was about this time last year they switched.  Either way, I wish they'd find something better or at least crank the dial up!

Have you ever tested the speed of pics from the Matchroom.com player or Eurosport? Would be interesting to know if they are any quicker?

They're well behind, apparently.  Haven't checked for a long time, but ES Player used to be 30 secs+!  Useless!

I don't think it's even that, mate.  It just seems to be the way it is!  If you look at the quality of the US racing pics here, it's clear that you can deliver decent quality with very minimal delay if the will is there to do so.  It just doesn't seem to be in this case, sadly.  If the GC were any good, this is actually one thing they could be campaigning for, because no-one should have to put up with 7 second-delayed pics when books are happily taking IR bets on it.

It's shocking really that in this day and age they can't just deliver fast pics - as you alluded to previously, there are other factors involved.
