when the spectators are in their seats they dont have to wear masks, if they get up to go to the toilet or whatever they have to wear one

The rationale behind that makes ABSOLUTELY ZERO sense to me whatsoever.

In fact Lat it is pretty stupid, no mask in a closed arena with 100s of others, then put on mask to go for a jimmy, i'll leave it up to the imagination.

Will they be testing patrons at the front door daily or will they just abandon at the semi stage if a few cases arise.

Will the camera men and ref and scorers be unmasked and then masked on leaving match area also.

Ronnie said he was going to go to the venue, see if he liked it and then decide.

Would he be there yet given he doesn't play till Sunday?

Do the players all have to stay within the bubble of the hotel/crucible? Are they allowed to go home and comeback between round 1 and round 2? I cant imagine it would suit ronnie at all - i wouldnt be surprised if he jacked it in. Of all the first round games his game is the only one I would have proper bet on the dog. The majority of the matches are very uninspiring, maybe the match play the qualifiers got will level things abit but there looks to be 7/8 games that could be potential hammerings.

anyhow the whole mask thing with the arena/toilet sounds ridicolous. I just hope most of the regular faces are present as it wouldnt be the same without spotting them in the crowd.

Shon is already in the bubble, despite not playing until the 3rd, so I wonder if they all are?

So ronnie would potentially have to stay within the hotel/venue for 17 days without been allowed to escape? Theres no way he'll be able to keep his head together for that. Shame really as I think most would like to see him win a couple more titles before he hangs the cue up for good. And its always a more interesting tournament the longer ronnie is in the draw.

It must be like the darts Matchplay, which was a semi bubble? I can't see it being a bubble for the whole event

For the darts all the players, officials, technical staff etc were all tested, then results negative. From there they were allowed to leave the venue to go to local amenities but they had to be sensible and adhere to social distancing and wear a mask.

It didn't sound like the players were allowed out during the qualies.  Everyone was bussed in and out from hotel to venue and vice versa.  Even the hotel staff were all staying there to ensure the integrity of the bubble.
