I would dearly love to add the beautiful pool ball set pictured below to my extensive collection. They were made by a firm called The Hyatt Albany Billiard Ball Company of New York in mid 1970s. My search thus far has, alas, proved unsuccessful. I am therefore offering a £100 reward to any heroic treasure hunter who can put me in touch with a seller of a mint, unused example if it leads to a sale.
Although undoubtedly rare this is not a lost cause, ladies and gentlemen. A few sets do still exist out there. My advice to anybody prepared to try for my £100 prize, however, is to steer clear of American pool and billiard forums. I've already spoken to all the existing owners who frequent those boards and none are ready to sell just yet.
Most private billiard ball trades between collectors are conducted on social media giants like Facebook or Twitter these days. Not being a member on any of these sites, there's surely a great opportunity for somebody who knows their way around such platforms.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read about my quest. And good luck!
I saw your thread on chit chat was bumped, cant believe you're still trying to get hold of these! I wish you the best of luck, hopefully a set appears for you

A high price for a set of pool balls, perhaps, but still a great buy in my eyes. They are super rare. I’ve since politely declined an offer of $1,000 from a fellow collector.

Belated Happy New Year Pokermonster, hope all's well and best of luck as always with your adventures in collecting.
Could you do a few more photos of your personal faves or greatest collections? They always look great.

I’m in fine health and spirits thank you. I hope you are, too, dear fellow?
I’ve tried several times to upload new photographs of my pool ball collection, sir. Alas, the moderators have rejected ninety plus percent of the images for some unknown reason and I got fed up. Here are a few that made it through:

I just happened to be browsing eBay when they were listed… hit the BUY IT NOW within seconds.
Serendipitous stroke of good fortune. There are about a dozen collectors who would pretty much pay any price for this set. I was the lucky one who saw it first.

well done..... the only thing that seemed strange on your original post was the unused/mint comment...surely if they are so rare any condition would be acceptable although i do understand for true collectors quality and condition is paramount....
