Trump has always thought he can beat osullivan regularly,think he mustv'e been turning him over in practise a lot a few years ago when he was playing well...I saw him interviewd you could tell he was glad he was playing o'sullivan, not selby,he looked very confident,same old story put eight hours a day in you get your just rewards,very fitting winning the Alex higgins trophy as well.

Going back to your previous point giggolo, I think Trump's spell in the doldrums can be traced directly back to his disappointment at not playing O'Sullivan in the World Semi he lost to Bingham, and also at his performance in the early part of that match.

With last night's result under his belt, and assuming he continues to prepare as assiduously as at present, I expect him to be at the business end of all the major tournaments for the foreseeable future.

All we have been waiting for is Trump to make the best of his incredible talent - it seems that this is now his mission too.

I watched the match early hours of this morning,in all honesty osullivan was very poor saftety was abysmal in saying that trump played well all week,players like him are all about confidence and it's quite possible he will go on and win a biggie or maybe two now this season.Six years ago he looked the most naturally talented player to pick up a cue,i actually think o'sullivan is intimidated by him,you may find in future meetings him dealing out some drubbings to him could be wrong but wouldn't surprise me.So much deadwood out there now,it looks like o'sullivan,selby and trump are going to dominate these tournaments,although i think selbys going through one of those two year lulls players go through

That match against bingham was where it all started was playing well and then just went to pieces,first time he'd ever shown he could play so poorly and continued doing so just totally killed his confidence,very strange as it looked like he was never going to come back, all players have a two year lull in form,hendry probably being the exception trumps has been four years a long time.Like he said eight hours practising a day,have never understood these players saying they only practise 2/3 hours aday i used to play that everyday myself and double that at weekends and i was only going in pto ams..
