not a ranking event this year Shocked

24 players, non-ranking invitational event
field is made up of the top 16, followed by the next 4 players in the rankings who are chinese, 2 players from the CBSA china tour and 2 from china's amateur masters series

LaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

sounds like the biggest crock of sh1te ever & I won't be setting the alarm clock for this

It's the best tournament until the UK starts, and it is £200,000 to the winner. It's a high class field, but the top 8 in the rankings only need to win 4 matches to win the title. Just the sort of tournament Ronnie loves as he'd play his 4 matches in 5 days.

No frame betting for this morning's game, That's a bit disappointing although there isn't  exactly a massive amount of liquidity in the match odds.

Had to pop out for half an hour (couldn't post on the forum prior to that), but Wenbo has been utterly woeful from what I've seen of this so far.  Wilson not much better!

Can't believe Selby had a go at that pink there.  Blue all day, every day, even if it was horrible.

Why is there always such a sh!t atmosphere at the China tournaments? Arenas always half empty and pretty small ones at that.

Bit disappointed with Yulong there, TBH. Thought he'd got enough experience to not let nerves get the better of him, but he missed two really good chances to wrap it up before that deciding frame....

Looking forward to 1.0 v Wilson here.  Not seen 1.0 play for an age.  Interested to see what shape his game is in.

Would have thought Wilson be too much a steady eddie for any version of trump but decent first frame this.

Dudd gifting it back with stupid shots. Still massive market manipulation. +25 ticks compared to 365.

Yulong went into 1.6 here at the interval against Selby when 1.8 was available elsewhere.  So long as you don't over commit, you'll win laying the shorter price here over time.

Dont know what to think so far. Dudd stole the first, had decent chances in frame 2 & 3 where he made barely 35 combined. Of course Wilson is 10x match sharper after past weeks, but if dudd's brain and all.round game kicks in he could fly away.

Of course he finds the only path which gives wilson some hope in this frame...

Williams, Wilson, Smurph, Allen, they are all working hard to improve. With Dudd, you get the feeling he becomes more stupid and lazier every season.

Not sure if it was intentional when he played that snooker, but if it was, it was a genious move to place that black beside the pocket . Because if he got a chance at the red, that was the only color he would be sure to have a guaranted chance at.

Judging by the far cup at the start of this frame, Ryan Day could very well be The Blocker.
