I agree, Trumps game is getting worse, so frustrating watching him knowing he could do so much better.

Playing as many stupid shots as ever, then plays for precise positional shots when other shots are available, and how many times did he finish short on the blue? don't be so precise you are better going a little to far than finishing short or straight.

And hitting the ball so hard again, he just feeds his opponents all the time.

Yet in the interviews they showed yesterday he seems happy the way things are going, like he can reach Ronnie's centuries total, and if he wins 1 or 2 a year can maybe get to 24 tournament wins in his career, but most of all he must entertain? sounding more like Ronnie all the time, rather than a determined Hendry, am sure Hendry would never have settled for aiming for 1 or 2 wins a year. win the lot and if you only win 1 or 2 then try harder next year!

Trump seems to have convinced himself he's playing well, got no game from what was seen last night completely bottled the match, terrible stuff.I was considering having a decent bet on him if he reached the semi finals of the worlds as over that distance he really should winning it,but after watching that looks like he's completely gone to me.

Very alarming the state of Judd's game, and he is oblivious to it.

There has to be major doubts now about him ever reaching his potential, and did he ever even have it? His positional play last night was an absolute joke.

A 50% Selby would have won that 9-1 or 2.

Why do players kid themselves, his honest reply should've been I played diabolical and bottled it the older players used to say it what's wrong with the truth crazy.O'sullivan must be thinking its going to be his best ever chance this year, think selbys gone this season can forget him,it'll be some right rag or o'sullivan this year..

Whoever can rise to the occasion and hold their nerve, that narrows it down to about zero!

The more I watch the more I can't pick a winner, still liking the Hawk shame about his clincher's disease.

Interesting that Ronnie said yesterday that he had played like a Hendry or Trump and also he had tried to play like a Davis and Reardon but the latter 2 had done his head in.
Hendry played a similar game to Trump but on a much higher level, certainly he attacked the game like no other but great to hear Ronnie tell it how it really was.

Trump will never change his game no more than Hendry did its just the way a player is. On the other hand you have Steve Davis who never took a chance in his life.

I wish I had the confidence in Selby's game that some have. I am a big fan but for me he is starting to show the signs of decline this season and because of that I am frantically  looking for the shock win that really isn't a shock if that makes senseConfused
If its to go east then only Ding has the class, and if somebody can smash his way to the title then it must be Trump and sadly the tables are not producing another hard man like Selby so I am hoping Maguire gets to the last 32 then maybe his 100-1 could look ridiculously generous.  So thats my 3.

Judd doesn't look calm, his body language as he waits for the cue ball to halt is nearly always of a worried man.

I have seen it mentioned on here the muscle memory from his wild swipes at the end of frames is disturbing his flow, and I have to think this is the case.

He was maybe nervous last night (one ranking title on UK soil) but he is 27 and probably the best potter of a ball that has ever been. Time to step up ffs.

I'm as big a critic of Judd as anyone but feel peeps are been a bit harsh on the lad here. Didn't see the opening session yesterday but on the evidence of last night, I didn't think he did a whole lot wrong. Just fell narrowly short to a guy who is world champion, 2nd in the world and a hardened match player. Sure, Trump with all his ability should be winning these matches, but he's not all that far off either.

I think he struggled a bit with the table conditions, as he did all week and other players too. Not sure what century count was for the week but am certain it was well below the average from other tournaments, for whatever reason tables played tougher, pockets were tighter and dont think a lot of the players were comfortable on them. Not an excuse as such, but still think he's entitled to be positive after the week. Some of the criticism here is well OTT imho.

Trump played like a God the last two days at the Ricoh.  Scored four back-to-back centuries across two matches against Ryan Day.  Romped to the winners group.

Of course, no crowd present and only a handful of die-hards watching online to be "entertained"....

Also, don't forget how well he played against Fu at the Masters early on. Surely the best match I have watched in a while. This year at least. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4Sut-Jtv1M
