What McManus needs to do is start putting a few balls safe on his safety shots, making it hard for Ding to clear up in one visit.

Agree his positional play is exceptional, and that comes from hitting the centre of the pocket as well.

How can ding be 1.2 on these buckets. it's close to a toss of a coin really as any professional worth their salt can win frames on these tables. ding should be nearer 1.57 at 9-7 ahead.

really hope it's a mcmanus v fu final and they both bottle it in the final like when ebdon played dott. then and only then they might do something about the ridiculous pool tables they play on.

yep mcmanus has started slowly in all his previous matches and ended doing the business when it counts. just seen mcmanus has made 3 century breaks in the last 7 frames. 107, 136 and 125.
8 century breaks in total in the 17 frames completed. |

In 1984 there were only 8 centuries in the whole tournament! When the likes of Hendry OSullivan Higgins Williams Hunter and Stevens were dominating the game there used to be 40 - 50 century breaks. Now you get 80+ made.
