Shaun Murphy v Barry Pinches - Can only see a Shaun Murphy win here.

Stuart Bingham v John Higgins - I'm surprised to see Bingham is the slight favourite.  Higgins on his day is a match for anyone, it all depends if he turns up or not I suppose.  For me I would still back John Higgins.

Mark Allen v Sanderson Lam - The odds suggest Allen is going to walk it.  I've never been convinced by Mark Allen and seen him throw away many matches he should of won.  I have never heard of Sanderson Lam.  Allen might be favourite, but if he don't play to his ability who knows he could get turned over.

Stuart Bingham is some sack of s h i t.3-1 up and s h i t himself.Hopefully he loses now and goes back to eating all the pies

Ha Ha hes out

lol@eating pies.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 28, 2015 11:33 AM BST
Mark Allen 1-0 down, i've seen better examples of potting down the garden centre.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 28, 2015 11:42 AM BST
It's like watching Stevie Wonder play darts, dreadful snooker from Allen.
Report paddletoe August 28, 2015 12:33 PM BST
Allen will soon be wider than he is tall. He must have put on about 3 stone over the summer.
Report wit-ham August 28, 2015 12:43 PM BST
wrong spot pink should have gone on black
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 28, 2015 1:17 PM BST
I missed the last frame, but he's come back from 3-1 down to 3-3.  A player of his supposed ability, and ranking should of destroyed this guy 4-0.  He is so over rated imo.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 28, 2015 1:19 PM BST
Is it me, or does the ref look like Anne Robinson?
Report paddletoe August 28, 2015 1:34 PM BST
Good match winning clearance by Lam. Allen didn't bring his head to the game at all. You can always tell he is not right when he gives that sarcastic smile of his. He missed safety shots by a mile.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 28, 2015 1:38 PM BST
i don't think i've ever seen him play a solid match, not that I watch many of his games, but still.  Cheerio Mark Allen.
Report paddletoe August 28, 2015 2:06 PM BST
Man alive Pinches looks like he could not pot two balls in a row.
Report paddletoe August 28, 2015 2:18 PM BST
The way Pinches played that first frame this looks like a 4 nil job.
Report paddletoe August 28, 2015 2:53 PM BST
Don't think I have ever seen a player miss as much as Pinches is two frames of snooker.
Report paddletoe August 28, 2015 3:17 PM BST
4-0. Pinches pot success rate in that match was criminal. Murphy looks like he must have been out jogging during the close season while Allen was sitting in ordering take aways.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 28, 2015 4:27 PM BST
I think Murphy could of beat him blindfolded.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 28, 2015 4:54 PM BST
I got 3/3 right so i'm going to have another guess on 6 more matches for fun to see how I do.  I don't know what the odds on each match are as these bets are not available on Betfair.  I am not betting on these myself, just trying to pick the winners for fun.

Dominic Dale v Yu De Lu  - Dale should win
Judd Trump v Marc J Davis - Trump should cruise it
Mark Selby v Jake Nicholson - Selby all day long
Ricky Walden v Dechawat Poomjaeng - Should be a close match, but I think Poomjaeng will sneak it
Darryl Hill v Martin Gould - likely to be a scrappy match, but I would expect Gould to get through
Allister Carter    v Elliot Slessor - Ali Carter should come through it with relative ease.

I've been using betfair sometime, just only recently using the forums.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 1:54 PM BST
Looking promising so far

Dominic Dale - won
Judd Trump - Won
Ali Carter - won
Poomjaeng who was a big underdog, come from 2-0 down to lead 3-2, it's now 3-3 and the final frame to play.
Gould - won
Selby not played yet.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 1:57 PM BST
This Poomjaeng lad is like a little terrier who has not been fed in a week. A real muck dog kind of a player. Love watching him battle around the snooker table making the most of limited ability.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 1:59 PM BST
Looked a big fave to win that last frame to take it 4-2 winner takes it all. He had kept Walden from potting a ball for 50 minutes.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:01 PM BST
with poomjaeng taking half an hour to make a twenty break you would think when Walden gets in he would try and stay at the table for a while but how many careless shots has he thrown in.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:03 PM BST
lol@terrier.  poomjaeng can play, he's not as bad as the odds suggested before the start of the match in my view, and henever gives up.  Walden is a decent player, but all to often he goes missing in games and loses his focus.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:04 PM BST
He can play alright. He knocked in a 142 to go 3-2 ahead. He is totally dominating Walden in the safety exchanges.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:06 PM BST
Your getting good value for your money anyway. This frame could last the guts of an hour.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:06 PM BST
Walden to me, seems to be rushing his shots?  Maybe he needs a sh!t, maybe he's got some totti lined up to go to...although seems unlikely for the later.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:07 PM BST
I am not betting on it like I said before the games started.  I may have a bet on some for the next round of matches though.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:09 PM BST
The wee man is just knocking his rhythm with his style of play. Tying him in knots with his safety play. He is first in this frame no excuses. He even has the insurance of balls safe if he misses.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:11 PM BST
Poomjaeng will often try a risky/crazy shot when faced with it, He loves to show off given the chance.  Maybe he wont try anything crazy in the final frame, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him try something most players wouldn't.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:12 PM BST
The way the table is set up is definitely to Poomjaengs advantage here.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:13 PM BST
Yeah I agree
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:13 PM BST
Do you play at all yourself paddletoe?
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:14 PM BST
Yeah he is not afraid to take shots on but the sneaky little thing always likes to play those shots with safety in mind.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:14 PM BST
I can hold a cue but not any great shakes as a player.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:16 PM BST
:)
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:17 PM BST
I thought the white was coming off the table then with that shot poomjaeng done, he needs to chill out and take it slowly....but that's not his game Laugh
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:18 PM BST
If the wee man gets 50 ahead in this frame at least two of the small colours are going to be getting knocked safe. All looks safe at the minute but one shot could open all those reds and black.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:19 PM BST
I would agree.  Any normal player in poomjaengs position I would say he should go on to win it....but he is so unpredictable you never know what he will do next lol.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:21 PM BST
I could of potted that black!
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:23 PM BST
really poor from walden to miss that pink.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:25 PM BST
loop bridge. He has all the shots!
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:26 PM BST
This should be the chance he needs to get over the line.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:26 PM BST
Should be curtains for Walden yeah.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:27 PM BST
Might take him half an hour to get 3 of these last 4 reds but he should do it.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:27 PM BST
Everything on if he does miss though.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:28 PM BST
ive just had a sneaky little bet on walden, just incase lol
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:29 PM BST
well done on your picks winner takes it all.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:29 PM BST
That should be curtains for walden.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:31 PM BST
I wouldn't put this little muck dog to win the whole thing. First to 4 suits his style.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:31 PM BST
I had £2 on Walden at 8.6 just then just cos it was great value, I never actually expected it to win lol.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:32 PM BST
Meant wouldn't put it past him.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:32 PM BST
Just Selby to play, he should walk it.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:32 PM BST
I cant see Poomjaeng winning the whole thing, much better players left in than him.
Report paddletoe August 29, 2015 2:33 PM BST
Never knew he played Selby next. Selby is not a good match up for him.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:34 PM BST
Mark Selby v Jake Nicholson - Never heard of Nicholson, Selby is usually a solid player.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 2:37 PM BST
I wish I knew what the odds was for all 9 picks in an accumulator, would of been pretty decent with Poomjaeng, Higgins, and  Sanderson Lam all underdogs and Sanderson alone being 6/1 I think he was before the match started against Mark Allen.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 4:34 PM BST
Selby wins.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 29, 2015 4:43 PM BST
Shaun Murphy v Robbie Williams - Murphy to win
Michael Holt v Andrew Higginson - Michael Holt to win
Daniel Wells v Judd Trump - Judd Trump to win
Graeme Dott v Jamie Cope - could be a close game, but I think Dott will win
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 30, 2015 1:29 PM BST

Dott lost 4-3

Semi Final Draw

Michael Holt v Allister Carter
Mark King v Shaun Murphy

Michael Holt v Allister Carter - Both players in seemingly good form and knocked out some of the bigger players in the last round.

Holt started at Round 4
Michael Holt beat to get to the semi final:
Michael Holt 4 v 0 Richard Beckham in round 4
Michael Holt 4 v 1 Mateusz Baranowski in round 5
Michael Holt 4 v 2 Andrew Higginson in round 6
Michael Holt 4 v 0 Sean O'Sullivan in round 7
Michael Holt 4 v 1 Judd Trump in Quarter Final

Carter started at Round 4
Allister Carter beat to get to the semi final:
Allister Carter    4 v 0 Elliot Slessor in round 4
Allister Carter    4 v 1 Aditya Mehta in round 5
Allister Carter    4 v 0 Li Hang in round 6
Allister Carter    4 v 2 Jimmy Robertson in round 7
Allister Carter    4 v 2 Mark Williams in Quarter Final

I would normally go for Ali Carter as I think he is a better player than Holt.  But Holt having knocked out Judd Trump 4-1 in the previous round suggests he must be in playing out his skin so I think it will be a close game, but Holt to win.

Mark King v Shaun Murphy - Mark King has not played anyone decent as yet and strolled through to the semis.  Shaun Murphy is a solid player and I don't see King giving Murphy much of a challenge.

Mark King started at Round 4
Mark King beat to get to the semi final:
Mark King 4 v 0    Brian Cini in round 4
Mark King 4 v 0    Jamie jones in round 5
Mark King 4 v 0    Lee Walker in round 6
Mark King 4 v 1    Kryen Wilson in round 7
Mark King 4 v 0    Ian Burns in Quarter Final

Shaun Murphy started at Round 4
Shaun Murphy beat to get to the semi final:
Shaun Murphy 4 v 0 Barry Pinches in round 4
Shaun Murphy 4 v 0 Zak Surety in round 5
Shaun Murphy 4 v 2 Luca Brecel in round 6
Shaun Murphy 4 v 1 Robbie Williams in round 7
Shaun Murphy 4 v 2 Stuart Carrington in Quarter Final

For me, Murphy is the fav to win the tournament.
Report The_Winner_Takes_It_All August 30, 2015 6:01 PM BST
Carter won
Murphy Won

The Final
Shaun Murphy v Allister Carter

I still think Murphy will win.

Very well played indeed to beat Murphy 4-3.  Murphy is a much better player than Carter so he deserves a hats off.

Always forget about paul hunter,i think you could safely say he would've beaten these mugs by now and been world champion as he was quite old skool and didn't bottle it,always thought he was slightly short of being one of the greats but would've beaten these lot on regular basis..
