putting my head on the chopping block here, i just cant believe that ding is 4/6 had this 10/11 each of 2.
murphy has a great record at the crucible, the long games tend to favour him, and ding is mentally very fragile as he has shown on numerous occasions.
so all in all murphy at 6/4 is in my opinion a cracking bet.

Willy Thorn is the best player never to have won the WC not Jimmy White.
Ding needs a new nickname to get the crowds behind him again. Something like DINGO BABY has a nice sound to it.

Apparently ET made all those 147s because:
- He'd set the balls up again if he blew a chance of a maximum
- Pockets on his home table were like buckets
WT is definitely not the best player to fail to land the WC, he was a very average player at best. IMO that title belongs to Jimmy, with Matthew Stevens in 2nd place.

To be fair, Hunter has pretty legitimate reason for not winning it.

there isnt a player out there (barring willie thorne of course) who is better in practice than the sheriff. also very meticulous. a mirror to check his silky smooth cue action and stretches to enable him to get into any position in or around the table.

Well played Murphy, got stronger as the match went on, just as Ding's game deserted him. Ding had chances in every frame but just couldnt hold his game together with the pressure on.

only Mardle is more popular with the BF forum than SMurph
gives that many chances to ali cater and it will be a tough match for shaun as im expecting ali to really up his game from now on in
Superb break at the end! His safety needs to improve a bit and he hasn't played his best so far but that match will be huge for his confidence and I'm confident he can make the final now in what def looks the weaker side of the draw.
cant believe the diff in price in the outrights between carter and murphy. carter had the upper hand last 2 times i can remember them playing.

couldnt believe ding was 1.6 at the start of this match
looks like it'll be priced up by the books something like 8/15 smurph, 11/8 carter, which is wrong imo.

He was very patchy there but he potted some excellent single balls that were really tough when under pressure. He will need to step up on that though, Carter won't struggle so hard to capitalise on Smurphs mistakes.
fancy carter to beat murphy, an open attacking game will see carter open his game up and start flowing
Carter beat Murphy up two years ago, but I don't see it happening tomorrow. Carter needs to raise his game and i'm not sure it's there.
Murphy should grow in confidence now.
Backed them both to win the quarter and on the outrights from the start, so don't really care either way, but I have a feeling that Murphy will justify favouritism.
