Selby beat UK Champ Ding 6-1 while Allen was poor against the worst John Higgins seen in years. Selby always seems to come good post Christmas. Could win this Masters and go close at the Crucible in April.

he's like trump - great talent but no brain. Will cost you against the better players.
Allen's shot selection is terrible at times. He won't win big tournaments until he sorts it out.
