Save your money, save yourself.

Ronnie has won this competition three out of the last five times he has turned up here and has been in the final four out of the last five years. On the face of it the rocket seems to play better here than just about any other venue. I think he is a great bet at the advertised price of 11/4 or even 3/1 for the tournament.

yes

Selby has only ever lost one match here, to Ronnie in the final. On the reasoning above they should be head to head. Look at form, not history.

i was about to back him at the prices on offer but i read some where he was trying a new cue out, this then put me rite off, even though he managed to pull it off a yr or 2 ago with a new cue
Report snookerbacker January 11, 2010 8:21 AM GMT
He's been practicing with a purple cue, don't think he's going to use it though, think it's a publicity stunt but not sure what that's all about.
Report Diploire January 11, 2010 9:13 AM GMT
Don't think he's really been practising with it, purely a publicity stunt for Premier inns.

11/4 to beat robbo ebdon prob murphy in semis and then either higgins/selby in final is not good value looking at that draw

Robertson +2.5 Frames how good is that?
Report snookerbacker January 12, 2010 10:49 AM GMT
And stick the profits on Carter later and you've had a good day.
Report Diploire January 12, 2010 10:55 AM GMT
Snookerbacker I usually agree with your thoughts on matches but can't be having Carter. Think Williams is one of the bets of the season.
Report snookerbacker January 12, 2010 11:01 AM GMT
Yes just read your blog Dipliore, was thinking of starting one myself one day. It's all about opinions and how you work out your conclusions, nobody has a crystal ball. I just think Carter will have too much for him today. GL anyway.
Report Diploire January 12, 2010 11:05 AM GMT
Yes, good luck. I think it will be close either way. Perhaps total frames is the way to go.

Nice blog mate!

See that Mark Williams has been slightly injured in a car crash but will play tonight - that doesn't fill me with confidence about my selection now!
Report Diploire January 12, 2010 1:09 PM GMT
Hurt his neck and Hendry injured his back after someone drove into them.

I'm taking a wild guess that it was a woman.

Part one of my plan to make a fortune on Carter landed.
