I do like this format, always some good gubbings along the way too. Looking forward to it. Some of the snooker last year in this comp was some of the best, much better than the dross we got in the PL.

talking to yourself mate lol?
Report Wicklow January 4, 2010 8:24 AM GMT
I just emailed BF about this - they have streamed it the past 2 years - but with no markets or streaming links up yet it doesnt look like they have plans to cover it. Bit of a shame as theres not much else sport on with the cold weather.
Also read its best of 5 frames this year - so no dodgy draws in the dead rubber games.
Report Diploire January 4, 2010 8:28 AM GMT
It seems to be up on the streaming section now but still no markets. Definately better betting proposition now they've got rid of the draws.
Report Wicklow January 4, 2010 8:35 AM GMT
I have been advised that we are accommodating this request and the relevant markets will be added shortly - I am enquiring about live streaming however and unsure if we are offering this unfortunately.

Please refresh your screen by clicking F5 and feel free to send us any further enquiries you may have.

Looks like we'll be up and running soon enough.
Report Diploire January 4, 2010 9:55 AM GMT
PP seem to think the draw is still in play.
Report SuperTed January 4, 2010 11:27 PM GMT
Is watching the stream on Betfair the only way to view this? Is there any tv coverage on any channels at all? Anybody know?

Looking at Higgins results they don't surprise me, big phixer in these exhibitions and the Premier League. Frequently loses from behind, guaranteed to miss when you would consider him 1.01 for a century.
Report SuperTed January 5, 2010 11:28 AM GMT
@MrNibbs - what do you mean 'big phixer'?
Report 1.01 Layer January 5, 2010 12:03 PM GMT
Agree with Nibbs. Higgins is might be a world champ but he is a disgrace. Total** and should get a lifetime ban.
Report 1.01 Layer January 5, 2010 12:05 PM GMT
Didn't think the word was that offensive! Lets just stick with disgrace then :-)
Report Jason Bourne January 5, 2010 12:11 PM GMT
Still always tends to reach the latter stages of these events. So what if he doesn't care ? Should make your job as traders a dream.
Report MrNibbs January 5, 2010 12:18 PM GMT
@MrNibbs - what do you mean 'big phixer'?

He conveniently loses frames/matches when he's short odds, or at least throws it as such that his chums can go all green and then take the frame when he is in again.

Last night of Premier League 2008 stays in my memory, 3-nil up on Steve Davis who was having a shocker, ended 3-all.
Report Mully January 5, 2010 1:16 PM GMT
His match against Selby last night was "interesting" to say the least.
Report Alex69 January 5, 2010 1:46 PM GMT
Is there anything easier than trading on this? Piece of p!ss :D
(Massively suspect number of 3-2s, imo)
Report SuperTed January 5, 2010 1:59 PM GMT
I think you guys may be right, thinking about it, Higgins does miss 'frame ball' quite often and basically miss 'easy' pots when he's infront with a big lead, giving the other guy a chance to come back.

@Alex - what are you betting on mate? :-)
Report Alex69 January 5, 2010 2:00 PM GMT
That internet-only stuff that's on now. Lay to back or back to lay depending on what the odds are. Traded out on the four matches I've done today already :)
Report SuperTed January 5, 2010 2:03 PM GMT
Nice, and what's your opinion of Higgins?
Report Alex69 January 5, 2010 2:08 PM GMT
I could go on forever, Super, but Higgins certainly doesn't seem to take these games as seriously as those in ranking tournaments. He cost me a few quid in that epic against Selby last year (I'd backed Selby based on some information I'd had from an 'insider'). Since then, I usually back him, especially in longer games. In the Day match, for example, I laid Day when he was 1.2-odd (when leading 2-0) & traded out when he drifted to 1.5-odd later. That was more about my opinion of Day (i.e. a bit of a choker) rather than any great feelings either way about Higgins.

Do you know where yu can find an up to date table for this? Trying to work out who will be playing in the play-offs, quite hard without a table though.
