never ever back low odds (anything below 1.2)

Oppose players who have potted the first red (usually the odds drop too much, as if they'll clear up every time)

Only back what you think is value
NEVER chase a price down to get matched
Potting 1 ball doesnt win the frame
Analyse certain players - there are specific ones to take on when in the balls
Understand the true price of clearing up the colours - this is where most consistent value can be found
KNOW THE RULES (NAP)
Know who the good tactival players are
Know the delays
Dont drink and punt (NB)
Use the commentary to your advantage - they are often wrong.

Lay at 1.01 ;-) DON'T BACK.

I don't know why the bullet dodgers keep thinking they're picking up free money on frame ball. I make it 1-50 at best.

Maguire to win 9-3 often pays off.

Or did you mean frame-by-frame betting? :p

The only thing I'd add to Romford's excellent post is the golden rule: Make sure you're watching it (NAP).
