England are a poor outfit.  Neither of those teams on show today at Twickenham will cause much trouble for Ireland

England are going backwards, no power in the forwards, Decent Scrum half missing , so many defensive mistakes, can you imagine the All Black's against that rabble today !!.Scotland thoroughly deserved their win today , the backs were so much faster stronger and more adapt when they gad the ball.Kriskin I agree that Ireland won't be worried about England but I think Scotland could give them a game.

fair play to england for their ambition. you can't change thngs in one game.
if that is the way England want to play then i am all for it. just don't

If you want to get into a football game & play open, fast and loose then Scotland
are probably not the best opossition to try it against. They love that game.

This is great for Rugby. Italy giving France i right run foe their money.

I missed the France v Italy game but Italy must have put in a fine effort to get so close to an improbable win.

I was at Selhurst Park today gents watching us salvage a draw gainst the old enemy Brighton so will have to make do with watching the highlights later.

It's rather splendid though to see the Scots handed out a right pasting to our Welsh friends. There's lovely.

I have been arguing for years that the finn russell is a

England - 19.5 on here @ 1.97 currently looks about right to me and I'll have an interest in that although it's not in anyway a strong fancy.

For the more cautious amongst us then England winning margin of 13+ is trading around the 1.46 mark.

England need a statement win here, i think 19'5 is too much. If they can win by 12 then all good.
I think if England win by over 19 then that is a huge performance given recent Italian reasults

Sir Clive Woodward was sounding his displeasure this week saying that Twickenham has become the world's biggest pub with people far more interested in getting the beers in than actually watching the game.

I'd have to say he has a point as, although it was 5 years ago, my last visit to Twickers was not exactly a pleasurable experience and getting home by train afterwards was an absolute nightmare.

you have to figure getting to 19 is one thing bit you have to stay ahead of that mark,
that is a big handicap.

31-14 so the original handicap scuppered but I managed it to be in front albeit not by much in the end. The commentator said "that's progress for England." He's obviously a glass half full man because I thought that was a pretty mediocre performance and that's me being polite.

I just had a quick look for seats for the France game and if, like me, you're not a member of England RFU, you are looking at £800 plus for two seats together with an unrestricted view.

I should cocoa, I pay less than that for a season ticket at Palace!

England look very ordinary.  Far too many mistakes today.  Played against 14 men for 2 *10 minute periods and still struggled.  They need a clear out from top to bottom.  The current number 1 team in the World have an Englishman coaching them

Blair Kinghorn must always be a 15. when he hits his srtide it is a thig of brauty.
I would keep him on the bench because he covers so many options but he is some player

Well guys I said it earlier England are poor at the moment and whether that can be changed before World Cup is debatable .Scotland only team who might give Ireland a game at the moment from the home nations.Ireland v France was one of the best games I have seen in a long time .

The Irish look a street ahead at the moment. I would like to think Scotland can give them a game
but I'm not convinced.

I think I'd just favour England to cover that but not by much.

Hard to see any value on the Italy game. As for the Wales game i may have a small lay of England but am concerned about the preparation for Wales with all the off the field problems.

Italy 20- 34 Ireland. I only watched bits of the game as loads of good horse racing this aft but the latish Irish try closed the game out.

Quite a sustained flow of dosh for England down to 1.42 now and Wales touched a big looking 4.0 for a short period but settled around the 3.8 mark.

I'm taking England on the handicap and a speculative bet on the draw @ 27.0.

Small lay of England 1.42 to give me an interest.

I thought Wales played really well in the 1st half....took their chances which Italy did not. Wales tired in the 2nd half and indiscipline by Italy allowed Wales to win quite comfortably in the end.

A bit hard work for Ireland,not often grand slam winners and deserved this year though probably below average teams.

Best team won but ludicrous to send off Steward. These decisions are really ruining the game imo.It was a tight game up till then .Not sure a lot of refs would of made that call , bit of a home call , crowd screaming etc.And I don't mean to take anything away from Ireland who were the best team throughout

The sending off decision is rightly getting heaps of criticism on Twitter from the rugby community, ex players, Carling, Dawson etc.

I've not watched any of this season's 6 Nations, and it's precisely because of what happened yesterday. 

There is now enough evidence linking contact with the head to long-term brain injury, so I completely accept that something had to give, but FFS, if that is a red card, the game really is done.  There is no longer any point to it, and how can you possibly have a punt on the sport when a ridiculous decision like that can totally screw you over...?

So the red card has now been recinded. Someone should make sure the Referee and TV officials get spoken to.Absolute Joke

As a youngster and being a hooker Sean Fitzpatrick was my hero and that's not a word I use very often in life. Quite what he makes of the modern game with these new laws is no doubt unprintable let alone the introduction of "uncontested" scrums.

I'm watching Sarries v Quins. Exactly the same incident has just happened as that of Steward for England. It was pretty much a carbon copy. The referee and t.m.o. decide it was not even a penalty offence let alone a red or yellow card. Zero consistency it would appear.

Funny Slippy?,When I was a loud mouthed scrum half in the day , my "hero" was Gareth Edwards, wow what a player, gave the ball so much air it made Barry John and Phil Bennett an extra couple of yards.Now the thing I just don't understand is that the ball as far as I can remember has to go down the middle of the scrum, whereas now it's like rugby league and almost sent right angles out the back of the number 8s feet!!!.
Ps has anybody been watching Slammed the 70s on BBC, if not you should, 3 episodes of the Greatest Welsh team of the 70s , brilliant viewing.Even Northanlite might enjoy it !!!
