In my opinion the best sporting event of the year starts tomorrow. As yet no odds on the exchange, simply unbelievable.

Just been told they will not be covering any games this season.

Really Shocked
That's ridiculous.Funny how they've priced up the games on their Sportsbook at cramped odds where they will allow you to get about £2 on as max bet,but yet they aren't going to put up any markets on the exchange.
Whenever I moan to them about not being able to get a bet on the sportsbook they always say I need to use the exchange, wonder what they will tell me now.

Oh no please dont say thats true, look forward to this every year, great games on a Friday and Saturday. Obviously the big 4 will be doing the games , 356 the quickest in running and PP lagging behind the others.Cant believe there is no call for it on here

Did they give a reason why?

I am also upset at the news, these are huge games I cannot understand why they wont be covered.  Anyway the other 3 exchanges have them, and on the book theres good liquidity so all is not lost I suppose.  Shame as I prefer BFs interface but I need to bet these games big!

Reveen, I have emailed them this morning and they said that they were not being covered for reasons beyond their control. I am still waiting for another outstanding reply.Total disgrace  and why dont others put some presure on them

Try to be patient on the early games and not to take a pre match postion. Quite funn in that I dont pretend to have any great knowledge of Rugby but seem to be able to make money by spotting momentum in games.

Is this some kind of joke?  They are in-running both on the Sportsbook and Paddy Power.  I can't see how they are not offering exchange markets.

**** has it but of course nothing has changed there in 10 years and there is nobody betting on their markets.  I don't even know how that site is still in business.

I contacted BF yesterday regarding this. Firstly I was told its was available and sent a link to Rugby League. When I pointed this out I was sent a link to the Rugby Union Sportsbook and thirdly sent a link to Rugby Union homepage. Finally, I was told the operator would advise the traders and the markets should be available shortly. Three hours later I had an email telling me markets would be available this morning! I fear for the Exchange.

I'll ping my account manager a message a little later and see if I can get the definitive story.

Just found this out it’s unbelievable ! What frustrates me is they feel they do t need to give an explanation for any decision they a,key about markets offered I’ve been told in the past our traders don’t need to explain their decisions.  An unbelievable disrespect for long term customer

The issue is that there is currently no deal in place with Rugby Australia, so Betfair is not allowed to offer Super Rugby markets on the Exchange.  Negotiations are ongoing but there are no guarantees that they'll be positive and no time-frame has been set for a resolution.

Hopefully it's resolved ASAP.

I know it's probably a dumb question, but whats the difference in being able to allow odds on the sportsbook and being able to allow them on an exchange ?
Surely either both or neither should be allowed ?

Apparently due to an oversight by World Rugby, who didn't sign off on an agreement in time, means Betfair can't offer opening round markets on the exchange. They are hopeful this is rectified before the second week of fixtures.

Wouldn't it be a novel idea to tell those manning the Helpdesk this information. Or perhaps even put details as an announcement of the Rugby forum page.

This is a PR disaster for Betfair and a major ooup for Betquack. The appalling lack of knowledge and misinformation displayed by the sic help desk is bad enough but the failure by the company to offer a viewable explanation to its customers is inexcusable. I am on 2% commission with both companies but after this offer is eventually withdrawn by Betfair that will be the end of what used to be a competetive and businesslike agreement between us.

Let's be clear here - this is not major coup for the Daq.  They are a nonentity. They should capitalise in situations like this but never do.  Not even four figures matched on the current game.  Sadly it's always been like this for them and always will be.  First time I've even looked at their site in around 5 years and nothing has changed.

Agreed, Vis.  They have had so many empty nets and have always failed to slot the ball home.  I've not even bothered looking.

All the games so far would have been good trading games as there hasn't been any real blow outs and a few twists and turns during them.I do have an account at the Purple place but haven't used it within years and can't be bothered to open up any new accounts because of the protocol rigmarole you have to go through when you want to withdraw any money(copy's of passports, utility bills Angry)
So it's been pretty frustrating having to watch them.
I just pray this isn't permanent.
By:
bobweenit
When: 16 Feb 19 11:11
oh yes the blues and the tahs would have traded odds on with 5 to go and both lost
