The markets got this one wrong badly.  USA were getting a 22 point start with most.  Hard to believe given the result

2nd half shocker for sure. i think they thought it was already won at ht and they would pull away.
USA were much fitter than they anticipated. blooding youngsters is part of the reason they do these tours
but maybe had too many on at once last week and came down to a bit of a howler of an error in the end.
USA defended like mad men once they got ahead tho so fair play to them.

Toonie gone for some odd selections again this week which is either brave or dumb. Hastings jnr had a shocker
so surprised to see he starts again.

It would be good to see a raise in standard from the USA.

Depending on how you look at it it's a shame that the USA and Australia thumbed their noses at England and pursued their own ridiculous sports. USA had baseball and gridiron. We stuck with cricket but went with League and Aussie Rules. I think we'd be a much stronger nation had we just followed Rugby and soccer. We'd be miles better at soccer and the legendary All Blacks would just be that team from New Zealand that does quite well.

Then again if USA had taken up Rugby instead of that stuff they do in between commercials they'd probably flog us all.

you just need a glance at some of the athletes in the NFL to know they would be a serious prospect
if there was any money in the game over there. They have a decent pack and good half backs & you
can usually make a game of it with that. Scotland made a right hash of the second 40 tho.

Its only a few years ago that USA took up Rugby 7s , now they are in the top 5 in the world. With 400 million people if they decided to take Rugby really serious they woould be a world force. They have the the money , facilities and weather , its that they still love their own sports.
For a country that didnt really play soccer till the 70s they havnt done too badly either in that code.

Agree lads

Would be very interesting if they get the rugby bug. However the NFL players are earning a fortune and if you have the choice your going to play NFL.

USA thumped Canada 42-17 in Toronto. They won't beat any full strength tier one sides and Canada are a bit
p1sh right now but they know the basics and have a few decent players. If they didn't focus on the 7's the
full side might be even better. That is true of a few tier two sides.
