Gone for overs tonight. Weather is very cold but apart from a few flakes of snow earlier on today, it's been dry.

Think bet of the day rests with the Perpignon -65 cap. Weather looks cold but dry and a similar Pep side won the away leg 12-79.

Saves me asking about the weather.

Got to wonder about the Dragons motivation here, out of the comp and not exactly on a great run of form. Tuilagi, Lydiate and a couple of others missing doesn't bode well either. Wasps are also missing Haskell and Johnson, which is a real shame, but otherwise look pretty strong. IF Robinson doesn't have a shocker I would expect Wasps to have too much for the home side.

Dragons have been looking better recently. A bit more strength in depth and they would have held on against Bayonne last week. One strange decision in the Dragon's team selection is the benching of Steffan Jones at 10, he had a very controlled game. I'm leaving it alone, but I do think the Wasps side will be too good. Noted that the Mitrea is reffing though, he likes a home side.

Like Wasps to cover myself. They have the firepower to put up a big score against what will hopefully be a disinterested Dragons

thought you said you were going for overs bryan?

I'm on Wasps and am just about as confident as I can be in a game involving them and a Rabo side. I don't like the look of the Dragons tight five whereas the Wasps locks look bombproof and they have a nice blend in the back row. Davies and Robinson at 9 & 10 are the worry, but if they get an armchair ride then there is plenty of firepower outside them. I also prefer the look of the Wasps bench and am surprised this is only 6 or 7 point cap.

Yep, I am Dr, meant leaving the cap alone. For anyone liking a tryscorer bet possibly worth noting that Varndell is up against the non-tackling Will Harries (with the non-tackling Prydie in behind)

Best of luck with your bets lads. Have had a monkey on Higgins at evens in the snooker too after he lost the first frame so hopefully a good night

Lol Bryan. Quite like Harries going forward (ever since he Tovey and himself  terrorised Munster on a saturday night 3/4 years back) but defence is indeed suspect.

Wasps to take this and probably cover for me.

Too cold for me to be involved in overs which is a shame as these two could probably get it over at the North Pole

Not the most auspicious start from Davies. Wasps lineout in the 22 and he throws a skip pass half the width of the pitch to the centres 10 yards behind the gainline.

That really is rubbish Dragons, it's an advantage in the 22. Don't take a frigging drop goal, what does it achieve?

When: 17 Jan 13 20:03
Very unlucky, Masi. A 22 is no real reward for your efforts in the scenario.

When: 17 Jan 13 20:04
Robinson came closer with his drop than Evans did from further out and without wasting an advantage.

When's this game start then?

If this was Lacey instead of Mitrea we would be up to 16 pens by now.

This is like a game from when the ELVs first came in.  Kick, kick, kick.  Getting us in the mood for SL I guess Laugh

Ok well we're clearly not playing rucks by the rulebook. In from the side and kicks it out but the ref waves play on.

Was just going to say that unders is a dead duck and then that happened.

Looks to me like every ruck is going to be a complete mess with hands in everywhere. Might be a game where it's better not to have the ball, score from turnovers.

Is it just me or does Robinson seem to hit the post more than any other kicker in the game? He rarely slots the ball betweeen them, that's for sure.
By:
RugbyMan
When: 17 Jan 13 20:23
I dont think I'm as confident as the TMO there. Masi's left hand might still have been on it, really tough to see.
By:

may as well just award the pen try now save time
By:
big_dunc
When: 17 Jan 13 20:23
How on earth is that only a turnover scrum?! There was nobody left on the Dragons side!
By:
RugbyMan
When: 17 Jan 13 20:24
I agree Dunc, Robinson hits the post about 5 times per game.

Refs are getting very quick with penalty tries these days.
By:
big_dunc
When: 17 Jan 13 20:25
Ref ends up costing the Dragons 7 instead of 3, though I suspect they would've gone for the pushover.

17 points in 10mins..ridiculous
