Looks very bad alright. To make matters worse, the TMO couldn't look at the correct angle of the replay on the try just before that scrum. The angle in front of the posts clearly shows that they go the ball down, but he spent 3 mins looking at every other angle.
I make the penalty count 13-5 against the Ospreys and not even a warning yet. |

Last time I looked Ospreys were dead & buried it seemed. Decent fightback and any points are good points at the mo. very tight for the play off places. Glasgow should win their match ok 16-06 up at HT & look in control

15-5 penalties and finally a yellow, but it comes because it was dangerous which is a joke. Wasn't even a penalty.

Ospreys have injured 2 tightheads in the match with illegal scrummaging - Nathan White and Jamie Hagan, both gone off injured. And the complain to ref at halftime, some neck !
|
By:
Leinster looking for uncontested scrums I think
|
By:
This is a farce of a situation where we genuinely should have uncontested scrums. We've already seen two tightheads injured so what chance does a 20 yr old loosehead have of scrummaging in that role?
|
By:
lol the ref looked stunned that was given
|
By:
wow what a kick
|
By:
Unbelievable incompetence from the TMO could cost Leinster the match here. We have a clear try under the posts for Leinster not given and a highly debatable touch down from the Ospreys given with time running out.
|
By:
It's been mentioned before, but Fitzgibbon has absolutely no clue what he is up to at scrums. Makes James Jones look competent. It's a difficult area, but eventually injuries are inevitable if players can do as they please.
|
By:
to be fair it did look like he managed to dot the ball down, dunno how the osprey's nicked that
|
By:
Ospreys win, quite farical.

FT 22-23
|
By:
Yes, he probably did score nl. I'm all for giving the attacker the benefit of the doubt, but van der Merwe's "try" at the other end was much more clear cut. He didn't even take a look at the angle ffs.
Fitzgibbon is a boffoon RM, the worst referee I've ever seen and I can't understand how he gets any games. |
By:
Buffoon even

so now it's

Ospreys have got history with this, creating an issue about an area of the opposition's game in the media in a week leading up to match to influence ref. Sure as, they play the exact same tactics they've complained about and not blown for it.
Surprised that so many refs fall for it. |

He single-handedly got Llanelli through their trip to Northampton earlier in the season. If I had any faith in him then it all went. They all make mistakes, but a constant stream over 80 mins is not right. Definitely right at the bottom of my list.
In fact, with Alain Rolland learning to yellow card players after warning them he has shot right up and left space near the bottom for Fitzgibbon to take on! |
By:
Paddy O'Brien has left his post as referees chief apparently. Might be the best thing for the sport in ages.

I thought the Ospreys had the worst of it from Peter Thegibbon this evening. NO defence for Paul James though, he is constantly bringing the scrum down upon engagement. Just hope the tighthead is ok, cause it did not look good
