does anyone agree with the way TR is apparently being treated in jail........I personally dont and hope he manages to survive the rest of his ridiculous sentence
Oh ok. With it not being an own priority of yours I must express that I find your statement about the lack of empathy a bit weird then.
I can not blanket promise a yes/no. As a really tremendously shrewd dude you might want to trap me into a yes/no situation when it's a complex situation. Feel free to try though. If an answer that goes beyond "yes" or "no" does strain your brain too much, you can also ctrl+f for either of those words and simply not read the rest yourself.

That's a very weird question. It could also be potentially very difficult to answer. As, after all, how could I be sure of a "yes" without having had seen every profile of every forumite? I hope you would agree that is something plain unreasonable to expect from me. I cannot say I am impressed by that easy to see lack of very basic understanding of your own question and its suitability to be answered with "yes".
Luckily for you however, from the top of my head I know of one poster who has more posts than I do. So with utmost certainty my answer to you can indeed be a "No, I am not the forumite with the most posts on this forum."

No, if I tell you that there is at least one person with more posts and I conclude it with a an utmost certain assessment of "No, I am not the forumite with the most posts on this forum.", it should not be understood as half a yes by the shrewd people among us.

Did your brain check out after the first few words to even ask that kind of follow-up in return to my assessment that I gave an "utmost certainty"" grade to?

We piss and moan about the weather. We queue up for everything. We say we are okay if we have lost a leg that day and we can also answer a binary question with a yes or no.
We have some unfortunate things in Britain edy. We piss and moan about the weather. We queue up for everything. We say we are okay if we have lost a leg that day and we can also answer a binary question with a yes or no.
I am sorry that my very clear and with certainty spoken answer of "No" really does seem to have overloaded your brain because it contained a few additional words.
There's something I'd like to know. So you seem to deem your question suitable for a "yes" answer. I laid out why I deem it unreasoable, or even impossible, to give a "yes" to that question with a high degree of certainty. Why do you feel it is nonetheless suitable? How can you possibly expect someone, me, to be aware of the post counts of every poster on a forum of a big internationally operating company?

I gave you the respect of answering a number of questions you asked me with a simple yes/no.
I expected you to be able to reciprocate when I asked you a question.
Instead you reply with your usual several sentence and/or multiple post responses.
I'm not going to reply to you anymore.

It is true that you anwered my questions with a simple yes/no, but ... I never asked you to do that and I frankly doubt you chose that way because you wanted to be respectful and give me the best possible answer I desired most. I would have loved longer, more elaborate answers (as you will most likely know).
It is also true that I did not answer your question with a mere "yes" (which your question is thoroughly unsuitable for, which is why you now pretend I'm being disrespectful instead of you engaging me on why you deem it suitable upon my request for clarification) or "no", but I had also never promised to do so and I would never expect or demand anyone else to do so (especially not if it's an unsuitable question like yours).
Still, I gave you an answer that contained

I mean...are you sure want to throw a hissy fit here about me not daring to just give a yes or no?

Wonder if you are the kind of person that goes like:
"Hey, I did all these things you never asked for or even wanted that way. I did them the way I wanted to really against what would have been your wish. It is so very incredibly rude of you to not reciprocate in exactly the way I demand!"

People seem to forget (if they ever even knew) that Tommy shut down the real far right and rejected their help. Now they get angry at him because he knows more about what certain religious followers believe than they do….and get angry when he tells the truth.
The man knew what he would get for doing it the way he did. He has only a few months to go so don’t sweat it. The question is how badly the state fear him and to what extent they will continue frivolous charges once he is released.

He is in jail because he committed contempt of court, where a judge made a single decision on a complex case.
We saw this play out during the summer riots. Where individuals took the bait of a reduced guilty plea they got absolutely hammered by individual judges who dished out harsh verdicts that don’t tally with the majority opinion of the nation. We know this as those who didn’t take the bait and went to trial to be judged by their peers got found not guilty.

I agree with WD the truth is why he is in jail! The establishment does not like the truth being told about grooming gangs. WD makes a very good argument for the impeachment of the these rogue judges and prosecutors who keep bringing frivolous cases.

Tommy went to jail knowing he would, by using unconventional means to challenge a verdict he felt was wrong. Those who always seem to pump their gums about what they think they know of the circumstances regarding these issues, rarely do. They no doubt havnt actually studied the details of the case in question, and likely haven’t seen any of the productions that Tommy went to jail in making public.
They do however know that people went to jail for drawing parallels between terrorism of recent times and the event that happened in Southport. When it was declared within 24/48 to specifically not be terrorism related. (Quite how you can declare a negative so quickly is beyond me, you can ofc declare a positive so quickly) And when latterly the data was released that there were arguably terrorism related actions the perp was doing at the time, there wasn’t then a review of the sentencing, when anyone would consider that grounds for appeal.
We also saw a prime minister and Home Secretary both use the argument that speculation on events by the public could risk prejudicing a trial…..then went and did that very thing themselves.
We also saw sentences handed out the likes we have never seen before for opinion, where the accused took a guilty plea option.
These are the reasons Tommy didn’t feel exactly confident in appealing the judge’s ruling.

Poor old Tommy heart is bleeding for this idiot. Along with the thugs who took a guilty plea, err because they were guilty. Sad for them as they were about to complete their face tattoos.

I saw an interesting stat recently. That in Rotherham, a town blighted by rape gang activity, there are more people in jail for positing opinion and/or being involved in the summer riots, than are in jail for the wide scale rape of local children.
We had a Public Prosecutor who actively went after rape gang suspects…..until he entered politics.

It's very clear lawfare is being used to silence him because they don't like what he said about grooming gangs. He may have technically broken a law, but that doesn't justify the extreme over-prosecution and over-sentencing of him in this and previous cases. That indicates lawfare, or a two tiered justice system very clearly. Other people who are not saying what Tommy is saying about grooming gangs would not have been so overzealously prosecuted.

If other forumites are using liveview, longer links like yours are getting truncated for those users if the links stand alone, jollyswagman. So it is generally better to accompany the links with some sort of text following them. This can be as little as a single character. Like so:
This way the links get shown in full even to users of liveview on this forum.

Sounds like he wants to get killed! Why not let him go into general population. Maybe put him in a cell with the Manchester incel. Might save the tax payer some money.

Judging by his fight to be among them, maybe it is Tommy Robinson's wish to be the ultimate martyr and die at their hands.

Germany has a far lower incarceration rate (i.e. amount of people in prison per 100.000 people living in the country) than England and Wales. Germany houses 68 prisoners per 100k people. For England and Wales the combined number is apparently at about 140.
There are local hotspots where prisons are full, but seen federally there are still some spots available. Nonetheless there are some measures or discussions to reduce the prison population and also save costs. E.g. if you do some petty crime, get given a fine that you then refuse to pay or cannot pay or aren't smart enough to negotiate community service in its stead, you traditionally have to go to prison for some time. About 10% of all prisoners in Germany at any time was from this crowd of people.
This hasn't been done away with, but it has been paused here and there. Primarily because it simply is hella expensive.

Starmer is quite an act ofc Gaslit the nation about ‘jumping on far right bandwagons’….only to jump on a ‘far right’ bandwagon himself in an attempt to ride out recent interest garnered by Musk’s international focus. He also gaslit the nation telling them the ‘far right’ was the greatest threat to the country…..only to get undermined almost instantly by the MI5 who gave that actual truth.
And all the people who just bore on about Tommy and his funds always ignore all the heavily subsidies left wing charities who are on a downward spiral after their funding being cut in many different ways, mainly because the brigadoon they were trying to have the people imagine turned out to be a set of grifts.
