Keir Starmer today rejected Tory calls to exempt hospices  from a planned increase in National Insurance Contributions today as he clashed with Kemi Badenoch at Prime Minister's Questions.

What has that got to do with anything  Escapee, they are History , the Festering mess we are having to deal with is Current , Keep up to date

Your spot on PA my thoughts exactly

I just keep thinking what is Next ?

None of these Big Companies or Billionaires are being targetted ,This is meant to be a Labour Government ,It gets worse each day , they should be ashamed of what they have

and are Doing but they are not , WHY ? They have either totally lost the Plot or there is an Underlying reason for these totally Un labour like actions

Anderson asked Starmer what difference all this Green business would make to world Climatr ,  It will create Jobs and wealth was its reply Laugh

Why do so many people believe that asking "billionaires" and "big companies" to pay in even more than they already do will solve our problems ?
Report Johnny The Guesser March 20, 2025 8:30 AM GMT
The problem is that too many people are "takers" - they take more out of the system than they pay in , and in ever increasing numbers.

The rich pay their way , they are the "contributors" - they take far less out of the system than they pay in.

Tax rises to fund spending. Now spending cuts on projects that the tax rises were funding.

She clearly has no idea what she is doing.

I can see the reasoning behind refusing to exempt hospices; there would be an avalanche if just one was given a reprieve. That being said, it does appear that they are continuing to bash the poor and the weak. I wonder how many are being pushed below the poverty line through their actions, which includes NI for businesses, which is already being passed down the line. Millions no doubt.

The NHS is exempt Aspro , as Pa stated these hospices rely on charity  ,How much can they be making from including them ,its what i would call a Low Blow

it just seems that as each day goes by they provide more Ammo for people to hate them , that includes people who voted for them

Why can't they just admit that they are fu**ing it all up - cancel the ER NIC increases  and reverse the 4p EE NIC cut, and stick a 1p on IT ?

Sometimes you need to hold your hands up and admit you have made a mistake - far better than just keeping blundering on.

The WFP was a total balls up , that should have been put forward to commence this year  with Proper means testing being carried out ,What was the rush to put that through

Can only think  all this calamity is to Fund Ed the Lunatic and Our Bote Arrivals

There going to put themselves into a position where they will never be trusted again. We need a third party to really put the pressure on. Not convinced Reform is that party, but the tide does appear to be turning a little.

As for NHS case, I didn't know that.
