My Council bragging that they are only putting up council tax by 4.5% in April, But last year they put it up 9.7%, they must think people are stupid and have short memories.

Unfortunately, covid proved to governments that people really are stupid,
no wonder they keep whacking us on the head.

until government do something about adult and childrens social care costs then the pressures on local councils will continue at pace. Reforming adult social care and health has been ducked for decades and private firms owned by hedge funds are charging extortionate fees for childrens social care
