During Election day across the USA from the time the polls open until they close, suppose a worse case scenario where a voter casts their vote but later on (depending on the State & Time Zones) that person becomes a murder/suicide victim and their death is officially confirmed shortly after by authorities - will their vote still count or not?

Let's say they voted for Democrats, would their state still count there vote as valid or not?
Why would they check after the event? If the vote was valid at the time then it stands surely.

Technically speaking the election vote count is not over yet - even though Republicans have gotten over 270 EV's...
All valid votes count even if the person dies before election.
