Asking because standard was Labour having reduced the time served from the previous 50% to 40%, was it not? But within four months is not 40% of 18 months I think, nor of the 14 months that would be his sentence after the 4 months reduction that was offered to Robinson if he tried real hard and with honest intent to take the defamatory material down.

He will be eligible for release from jail on a tag after serving less than four months of his 18-month sentence under the Government’s early release scheme to tackle the prison overcrowding crisis.

The scheme means he is entitled to automatic release after serving 7.2 months of his sentence. This is because it has moved the release date to require offenders to serve just 40 per cent of their sentence in prison rather than half of it.
