As we know what's been recently happening in the UK, the government has been taking drastic actions against free speech activists calling them "far right" which obviously is not true.
Then recently, they are now possibly banning outdoor smoking (as if banning it indoor wasn't bad enough) very likely killing off an ALREADY declining buisness.
Now at this point, am I the only one whos really worried they might eventually come after gambling next?
I really hope not - but as long as an authoritarian nanny state government is in power in UK/US/Australia I really can't put anything past them...

Gambling and Alcohol are the TWO fun and yes, addictive vices, both the UK & AU Gov have largely untouched.

Well for us gamblers, at least there are NO "second hand effects" like there is for smoking.
Unlike Alcohol you can't get drunk or violent after placing some bets.
Hopefully the gov is aware of these facts...

Well it's still not as bad as getting lung cancer or liver disease.
You can replace or buy a new house, you can't get new lungs or liver very easily.
